09/13/2024- My play sister and I stopped here after a funeral service around 1:00 pm. No lines. Plenty of parking. Clean place. Friendly staff. She ordered fried (batter) shrimp with a side of Tartar sauce! She said they were delicious! Okay. Yum.

Excellent fried catfish and whiting with virtually no excess grease. Excellent hush puppies, a bit sweet but fine with me, and with bits of corn kernels. Good collards. Green beans were overcooked IMO but that's their way with them. The dinner combos served us both lunch and dinner. No particular atmosphere (takeout only) but it was clean. Only one employee was handling everything, so it was a bit slow, but worth it.I regret being away so long since the H Street location...
