Mason's Famous Lobster Rolls

I love lobster, but I don't love a lobster roll. Mainly because it is cold. I wish lobster rolls had warm lobster inside, but anyway, I tried Masons for the first time and it was as good as any. Actually probably better than other lobster rolls I've had, even though the lobster was cold on what was called the Connecticut roll with warm butter. I would get it again.

Being near the water, I was craving for a good quick seafood and decided to try the lobster roll. The small restaurant was quiet when I visited at 4:30pm. The service was very fast. The restaurant has tables inside but I opted to enjoy the roll on the beach.

Classic lobster roll: good. The bread was soft, fluffy, and buttery. It did have lots of lobster meat and the meat was perfectly cooked & soft (not gummy nor chewy). I wish that they put more sauce on the roll.

Solid across the board: food, service, and atmosphere all hit the mark, though nothing stood out as exceptional. The lobster bisque was enjoyable after adding lobster meat; without it, the flavor would’ve been underwhelming. The lobster roll was nicely toasted and had a decent amount of meat, but again, nothing particularly memorable. A reliable spot, but not one that’ll blow you away.

Got the lobster salad last night. I agree it's expensive, the lobster salad had a somewhatish decent portion of lobster. Somewhat haha. No real thick pieces of meat, but I've had a lobster roll from here that had about the same amount of meat. At least here I got a full salad as well, and still got to have a roll! So could've made my own roll.
The lobster tasted a bit fishy. They have a nick thick chunk of lemon and good cup of butter. I hate when places skimp on those so that was a nice surprise; with lemon and butter the lobster was fine tasting.
The salad camme with craisins and goat cheese. I ate the lobster on its own then had the salad and had a roll to boot afterwards. Pricey, the salad was a huge bed of greens and the craisins--two of the cheapest ingredients they probably get in the kitchen--but I did also really like the dressing. Just wish it was more succulent/pump pieces of lobster and it didn't taste fishy

This crew was the absolute best. I went on June 19 at 7:00pm. They were attentive, kind, caring, and an absolute pleasure to be around. Everyone deserves a raise! They made sure everything was prepared well and with a smile. I’m happy great customer service still exists in the world.

The lobster roll and the Clam Chowder soup was delicious. But there are limited seats and tables.

Extremely fresh lobster. Flavorful lobster bisque. Great quality and service. The price is crazy (27$for a lobter roll with extra meat) , but you get what you pay for

Let me start by saying the lobster rolls were very good! The bread was toasted just right. Not too crunchy. The lobster and butter tasty! I’m not going to complain about the price because it’s a tourist attraction of course its pricey. Since we came on an early Sunday afternoon it wasn’t busy yet either so that was good as well! I feel like staff wasn’t too welcoming. I know it being a tourist attraction area it can be draining at times but it was early, the day still didn’t get busy to have a so/so demeanor. Even though it was cold we sat outside.

Came here because I’m a huge lobster roll fan & was in town for a weekend getaway.
Food itself is super delicious however my only complaint has to be I found a decent amount of the shell in my roll. Feel like the staff should be catching that before serving it.

Been craving seafood, so I took my parents here to try. We got 2 Classic Rolls and 1 Bar Harbor. All were delicious. My parents were really impressed. Lobster was on point and craving was satisfied! *chef's kiss*

Staff were all friendly but Nailah was above and beyond. I work in customer service so I appreciate the work ethic.

Great location at National Harbor. Will be back for sure. Price is normal imo for Maine Lobster.
