Terrible experience I waited 15 for one person to order a pork chop dinner on the hot bar line with one lady while another lady stood there looking at me and another man was picking up pans on the line. Once the persons order was finished the staff began conversing with one another just looking at me until I said can I order. The lady seemed to get upset when I ordered 3 barbecue wings Mac and cheese and yams which I paid for before she made. She makes goes to make my plate someone else walks into the location and the lady that was standing looking began to ring him up???? I don't get shown my food and didn't look at but I went back for my receipt because it was not given to me. I was moving quick to get back to work I was on my lunch break. I get to work and I have an entire mess and fried rice ??? I'm not sure where that came from. Super disappointed and they were about to close so I can't go back.

Good vegetable side dishes and excellent fish choices
We took a group of members of our organization to this establishment and the food was disgusting! Not authentic soul food at all.
-Fried rice and corn tasted like it was heated from the day before. Super hard!
-Yams were stringy and lacked sugar/sweetening
-Meatloaf was NOT made with real beef and had more breading in the mix than anything..
-Lemonade was literally sugar and syrup with coloring
- None of the associates serve with a smile and it took us to say “hello” several times. If three of the five members in our group were not wanting soul food, we would have left instantly!
They need soulful people, cooking soul food.

This is the one in Rivertown...food was horrible. Not seasoned, I asked for smothered turkey wings, they threw onions & peppers on it & no gravy at all. Their chicken liver was over cooked & had no flavor. 👎🏽 I was warned, but the Mid Atlantic I go to in Laurel has delicious food, so I gave this one a try. I should have taken heed to the warning.
