Had pretty good service but the food was just ok, nothing like it used to be a few years ago. Not sure what happened.
Rosa Mexicano has never disappointed in the many times been there. Their margaritas, chips, salsa & guac set a benchmark for this region, and their chile relleno is exquisite. Service and ambience durin a dinner last Saturday night were also excellent.
The restaurant has a pleasing decor. Service was excellent from being promptly seated to our server Alexa. Alexa was warm, friendly, and efficient. The food was served quickly and was well seasoned. The black beans were a little mushy but overall the food was good. I would definitely return to Rosa's and recommend it to others.
I love Rosa Mexicano and have been here before , I have never had an experience like I did last night . When I entered , I was waiting for friend as such I had a seat. The hostess was having a conversation with someone and then finished . She still did not say anything to me or ask if I needed anything . Also there was a large box that was ripped open and was being used for something in the restaurant. I'm not sure why it was left there , but it took up a portion of the seating . Once my friend arrived we went to the hostess and this was when I was first greeted. We were seated immediately and then our server came . He came and greeted us and placed the menus , then he left . A little surprising , as I was curious if there were any specials . I figured there must not be any seeing as he just walked away . He eventually came back and as we had the booth right at the wall . He came over and then proceeded to lean against the wall. I gave him a few moments and he said nothing , I asked if I could give my drink order . He said yes and then we ended up placing our order at the same time . The food came out in a reasonable amount of time . My friend has no issues , my food was good . The only issue I had was the cotija cheese on the quesadilla. It was so grated, it was like having sprinkle parmesan ontop . It was not something that I was expecting and felt like it was the end of the container. Seeing as it was close to closing they probably didn't want to open a new container. Our server never checked on us , he did come to ask if we were done . I asked for boxes to go and then he brought those with the wrong lid . Once we got the correct lids from him , he asked if we wanted dessert. Which we did order and enjoyed the filled Tres Leche cake , the strawberry filling was a nice surprise . I do not remember the menu stating that it was filled . Overall this was not the best visit that I have had and hope that next time it's better
We were really disappointed with our experience here. We made reservations weeks in advance, yet still waited about 30 minutes to be seated — and we didn't even get the seating we requested. Our server seemed rushed and distracted, missed part of our order, and then tried to blame us. Drinks arrived so late that we were nearly finished eating by the time they showed up. The food was no better. The chicken fajitas arrived lukewarm, not sizzling, and tasted poorly prepared. We had to ask for sauce, and it finally came when we were almost done. For the prices they charge, the quality and service were nowhere near worth it — we routinely get better food and service at half the price elsewhere, like El Paso's. Overall, this was a frustrating and overpriced experience. I would not recommend this restaurant and we will not be returning.
The food was good but not extraordinary. The cocktails were ok. The place is really nice. But the server was AMAZING! Her name is Bianca and she was on point, professional, attentive, caring, respectful. She was AMAZING!
Service from Edwin was great. He was attentive and friendly. Unfortunately all 4 steak fajitas ordered were not cut correctly (needs to be cut against the grain) and the meat was impossible to eat. We ordered Mexican rice which was delicious.
Rosa Mexicano delivers a solid dining experience with very good service and a lively, welcoming ambience. The table-side guacamole was the clear standout—fresh, flavorful, and worth the visit on its own. The margarita pitcher was just okay for me, and the $75 price point felt a bit steep. As for the mains, the overall flavor and presentation were fine, nothing exceptional but certainly enjoyable. All in all, a good experience with a few highlights, especially the guac.
We enjoyed our margaritas, the table-side guacamole (after we had our server bring us a salt shaker and fresh lemon), and our Flan and Churro desserts. The mains of the chorizo and shrimp Empanadas and the Birria Quesatacos were okay/not bad. Our server was attentive and excellent!
Food was great . Service not so much waitress forgot to put in our appetizer. So we ended it up just eating our dinner .

Nice pre-concert early dinner. Good booth by window with river view. The two signature dishes we had, cheeseburger grande (and it was!) and chili relleno (vegetarian) were great. Nice service and ended with a flan, large enough to share.
Fast, delicious and amazing ambiance

Rosa Mexicana: where bad food meets bad vibes.
From the moment we sat down, I could tell this was going to be… an experience. Our server had the energy of someone who gave up on life halfway through the lunch rush. You could practically feel her spirit leaving her body as she took our order. Honestly, I get it — if I had to serve that food all day, I’d look like that too.
Now, onto the “steak tacos.” I’ve had more tender bites chewing on a flip-flop. The meat was old, chewy, and questionable enough to make me rethink every life decision that led me to that table. Calling it “steak” feels legally inaccurate.
And then—oh, you’re gonna love this—the dessert. My poor kid was handed a “treat” in a plastic cup from the dollar store. I laughed so hard I almost forgot how much we were being robbed. If that dessert had a slogan, it’d be: “We gave up.”
$200 later, I left hungry, confused, and in need of emotional support. Rosa Mexicana, please explain how you’re still open. I’d like my money back and maybe a refund on my taste buds.

I recently had dinner at Rosa Mexicano and while the food and ambiance were enjoyable, the experience was disrupted by a man walking around inside the restaurant selling roses. It made several guests visibly uncomfortable and interrupted what should have been a quiet, relaxing evening. This kind of unsolicited solicitation is something I’d expect in developing countries, not in an upscale dining establishment here. I was surprised the staff allowed it, and I hope management takes steps to prevent this in the future.
