We were visiting the National Harbor for the night and stopped at the Walrus for brunch. Servers were very attentive and the food was delicious. I enjoyed the waffle and my sister had the egg flatbread.

I really enjoyed my experiences at the The Walrus. They have fresh shucked oysters, the Wally's are the house oyster and they were very good. I think I tried every fresh oyster and there were some excellent options that I thoroughly enjoyed. I also had the lobster roll togo and it was loaded with lobsta. They crab cakes were ok, but they are not using fresh local crab meat. The service was fantastic, it's what had me return, a great experience! The great fresh oysters were also a draw for me.

I came here yesterday with my boyfriend. He didn't want to sit down to eat so we got it to-go; walked around the harbor a bit and came back to pick it up to eat in front of the water. He got the chicken sandwich and I got the full lobster. To note: Literally an entire lobster chock full of meat... whereas I've paid nearly as much for anorexically paltry lobster rolls/lobster tails at other places (I actually paid more for those since it was delivery vs this entire lobster!)... and the lobster here was absolutely delicious.I wanted more butter, they gave a condiment cup thing of it, but they did also include two other sauces so others might really like that, just in my opinion, a beautifully cooked lobster just needs butter, but my boyfriend had some and he enjoyed the variety of dipping options.I'm a pretty light person and I still devoured the whole thing within the night. It was SO good, tender, not rubbery, I'm still full and it's the next morning.Again, other places have charged me very close to the amount I paid here and those places gave significantly less lobster, in portion and taste. And we're talking the hipster gentrified places in DC.I'm super pleased and will definitely be back next time I'm at the Harbor.

Went for a date night out with my wife and couldn’t be happier with our experience! Food was 10/10 quality , came out fast , service was excellent. I even forgot my wallet when we left the restaurant and returned back around 10-15 minutes later and the staff already secured my wallet and returned it to me! We will be back for sure for more date nights!

Second time eating here and the difference was quite huge. The first time was awesome but this time the food quality was subpar. This is especially so for the shellfish; mussels and oysters. The lack of freshness was apparent.

Wasn't impressed with The Walrus Oyster & Ale House. The food nor drink, service or atmosphere wasn't worth the time or expense dining there. At best, the food was mediocre as well as the service. I wouldn't recommend this restaurant to a homeless person if they were giving free food away. The expensive prices was worth half the price. The server was forgetful as well as unattentive. An insult to injury had the audacity to take out an 18% gratitude for lousy service that was received!!I wouldn't recommend this restaurant to anyone. For the expensive prices I excepted top-notch food and service. Dine at your own risk!!I'd recommend improving the food & the servers skills (unfriendly and not personable) especially with their attire. The servers (very casually dressed) blended in with the customers with the exception of having a pad for taking orders, apron on or behind the booth or counter.

They were out of many menu items. The food that we did have was good. It was very loud and hard to have a conversation. Not sure I would go again.

Yesterday, I took my friends to The Walrus Oyster & Ale House and everything we ate there was amazing, including the food. While my friend, Nawfal had a crab cake sandwich there and my friend, Danny had a burger there, I had the Maryland’s best lobster roll and it was the best lobster roll I’ve ever had surpasses the lobster roll I had in Maine. Although I had never been to a restaurant other than The Walrus Oyster & Ale House that serves super delicious hush puppies, they serve the best hush puppies I had ever been to. Their cornbread, along with the butter were so delicious and taste different than store-bought cornbread. Plus, the service and the waitress we had there were amazing. I would love to come back to that place next time we eat in National Harbor for dinner.

Most of the food was very good, but the chicken sandwich shouldn't even be on the menu. I'm pretty sure it was microwaved and completely inedible.

Had a wonderful weekday evening meal at The Walrus. Brayan delivered fantastic service… attentive without being overbearing, knowledgable about selections, and quick with delivery when able. The tuna appetizer was phenomenal and the grilled fish was delicious but, as the entree, it was barely larger than the appetizer. All things considered, I got more than my money’s worth and the whole affair was made that much better by the waiter, Brayan (apologies for any misspelling of his name).

Food was good. I ordered crab cakes with carrots and garlic mash. I also ordered a smokey margarita and the bartender left out the mezcal. I asked for a shot of mezcal to see if I was imaging things or if it were actually missing. It was. He left it out. Another lady ordered the same drink not even 5 minutes after I ordered and I warned her that it may be missing the mezcal. Once she tasted her drink she confirmed that it had mezcal. Wonder how he somehow forgot mine and remembered hers? Hmmm. ?

Food was fantastic. My 7 year old son had his first oyster and loved it. Service was fast. But Mohammed our server stole the show. He was fun, passionate, attentive, and anticipated anything you could possible need. 5 stars really isn’t enough. As a restaurant owner myself I wish I had a server as good as him.
