Since relocating from NYC, I wasn't able to find any Sweet Potatoe Pies in the DMV that could measure up to the Pies I would purchase from Whimpies, a family owned bakery in Harlem (nolonger in business). That is, until I stumbled upon "Uncle Paul's Pies" two years ago. Can I say "Scrumptious". Definitely a customer for life....

I would like to start by saying that today is my birthday.??? Yesterday, I reached out to Uncle Paul's Pies because they have the same name as one of my favorite uncles that passed a few years back, and I called him UP. I called in to ask about an order that would be the highlight of my day!
Before 6:00 am this morning, I found a special delivery on my door step with a handwritten birthday wish that was over and above anything that I could have asked for to start my special day with an amazing surprise.??
I woke up my whole family so they could eat UP's cupcakes with me, and we shared special memories of my beloved uncle. My mom is going to take 2 cupcakes to an elderly neighbor to share the birthday shenanigans!? My sister said her faith in exceptional customer service was restored today because she saw how happy I was.
To Uncle Paul's Pies: Thank you, from my family to yours!? The sweet potato cupcakes with cream cheese icing are amazing!????

Well, let me say the sweet potato pie prepared for me by Uncle Paul's Pies was simply on point. The professionalism was superb as well. There was a little confusion about the exact location where I was going to pick up my order. It wasn't a big deal to me. However, Unc addressed it and threw in some sweet potato pie cup cakes that didn't last long once they were in my hands. I am very impressed and will be a repeat customer.

I just finished a dozen cupcakes from "Uncle Pauls Pies," and they were legit! I indulged in the sweet potato cupcakes with cream cheese icing. These Delectable treats were a Delightful surprise—Dense in the best way imaginable...see what I Did there? (an alliteration)
What impressed me the most was their perfect balance—not overly sweet while hitting harder in flavor. The cream cheese icing was addictive, adding a creamy complement to the perfect cupcake. Trust me; it was love at first bite!
