Great crabs and reasonable pricing

We ordered 3 dozen mix small medium Steamed crabs. They were full, Steamed perfectly, and good seasoning. Always love getting crabs from SGC! Best crabs in the area at great price.

Since I moved up to PA in 2004, I was a 100% dedicated customer. A few years ago, I heard a new owner bought the establishment which I can’t confirm. Well since this rumor, crabs have gone downhill. First of all, their website says Maryland crabs. They are not MD crabs but from Louisiana. 95% of the time, the crabs are outstanding. Secondly, their website indicates a 1/2 bushel of large crabs equals to 36 crabs. Even the employees indicate I should get 36 crabs for a 1/2 bushel of large crabs. Now before the new ownership, I got a baker’s dozen on the 1/2 bushel. Since the new ownership, last year I received roughly 34 crabs which is ok with me. However, this year it’s strictly 30 crabs or less if they miscounted how many crabs they put in the bag. I go and get crabs at least once a week and their employees knows me by my first name. Thirdly, when I got crabs on a Wednesday or Thursday, the crabs were not freshly made but re-heated/steamed! In August, the crabs should be nice and full. When I complained, I got mostly empty/mushy crabs and exactly 30 crabs. I highly do not recommend She Got Crabs unless the management change its practice and stop taking hard earned money from consumers.

Giving She’s Got Crabs 5 Stars for the promise that my order will be superb. I ordered 1 1/2 Bushels of Large Crabs for my birthday party. After reading reviews I was hesitant about ordering from here but I’m willing to give them a chance. Hopefully my order will be as promised. If so the “Crabby Critic “ will be a fan… Stay Tuned
Update: Got my 1 1/2 bushel of crabs. I was promised “large and meaty”. Well they weren’t large or maybe that’s how SGC defines large. I’ve been to other places and their large tops SGC. Most were 5 inches with some topping 5 1/2 inches. Yes I measured for this review. My gut tells me SGC saves the best for their special customers. Family. Friends. Meaty? They had a good taste but far from meaty. I understand you can’t control the weight of a crab so don’t promise your customers something you can’t deliver on just to get the sale. Paid $550 for what was supposed to be “Large Meaty Crabs”. Instead got SGC definition of large meaty crabs. I would have been a customer for life and paid big money for great crabs but The Crabby Critic is not a fan of She’s Got Crabs. In my humble opinion She’s Got Crabs but not the good kind. ?

We loved the 99 special it was a great deal for me and my brother to get crabs for my Dad's birthday. We highly recommend there crabs and they got the right amount of spice to give you that kick you need and plenty of meat and cooked just right.
