Say, I would've given ALL 5☆, but the cashier( young man ) was NOT to customer friendly maybe because of when I arrived , which was near their closing time, but still does NOT give him a reason or excuse. However, the meal that I purchased was really good, plentiful, and reasonably priced.
*Actually, the doors were locked when I arrived around 9:35 p.m.-ish, but there was a guy cleaning up( mopping floors ) who unlocked the door to let me in. I greeted him and thanked him. He was very customer friendly and professional. He was giving the staff directives, so I'm guessing he was the manager or owner, big-ups to him. By the way, I had the GRILLED SALMON.

First time my parents came here for lunch and the food was salty and no flavor! The cabbage, chicken and greens tasted like it was day old food that was reheated and served. Will NEVER come back again. The food needs to be FRESH and seasoned with flavor NOT SALT !

This is the second review I am submitting. Southern Blues has catered my community annual holiday party for the second time. It was smooth sailing From creating the menu I wanted to the delivery, The food was amazing. I asked for delivery and when they arrived, the food was hot and ready to eat. We’ve been to this location numerous times, but this time the macaroni and cheese had a terrible taste, so we couldn’t eat it. The food costs too much not to be able to enjoy it. 😢😢

Prices are higher than what's on their website. The musice was do loud that i had to repeat my order twice. And they use to much salt. And the young lady at the front register is very unfriendly . I won't be back.

We loved the food but the employees wouldn’t talk to us. My husband asked a question and he had to ask 3 people. We felt unwelcomed. Which is sad because we liked the food.

My fave is the turkey wings. Not a fan of their corn bread or rolls. I usually make my own corn bread before picking up my order. The rolls are not freshly made; probably bought commercially. They're dry and tasteless.

The food is good but not consistent in taste. I took my mom some food for the first time from here. I usually love it. My mom, my homegirl & myself loves salt, HOWEVER!! I had to soak my greens in water more than once they were beyond SALTY!! I never tasted something so salty in my life. I think someone made a mistake and it didn’t correct it. The mac & cheese tastes like Velveeta versus baked to me. At this point I just need greens so I go here. I just can’t find home cooked food that is consistent or actually taste homemade home cooked. The service? they’re nice but they never greet you or say hello. The last few times I came in the young lady/ladies will be staring right in my face won’t say anything. It’s always a young man that comes and helps. I have never been greeted by the young ladies that looks at u and do nothing.

1: Smothered Turkey Wings: EXCELLENT
2: Collard Greens: 4.5 out of 5 due to a little bit much over salt
3: Fried Lake Trout: Over Cooked, Too Much Cornmeal batter, EXTREMELY SALTY, GENEROUS Portions of 3 VERY Large pieces of fish
4: Potato Salad: SOME of the potatoes were slightly grainy/mealy(25%) the sauce: EXCELLENT/BLACKTIFIED!!! despite no eggs.
Rice (accompanied the smothered turkey wings): seemed to be a short grain white rice which could have used a little more cooking time 4.5 out of 5
