They need sun shades for the morning. It makes the seating uncomfortable as the unfiltered sunlight comes blasting in full force. And of course all the tables are placed right where the sun is along the glass in the front corner. Was told management at least two or three times over a few months so clearly they really don't care about the customers comfort. I'll revamp my review if they ever get inexpensive solar shades installed.

Stopped by Bethesda Bagels at Cabin John Mall recently and it absolutely lived up to the hype — this is a great bagel spot.

What makes a good bagel, in my opinion, is texture and balance, and they really nail it here. The bagels have that perfect chew you expect, with a slightly crisp exterior and a soft, dense interior that holds up well to fillings without getting soggy. You can tell they’re fresh and properly made — not overly bready or fluffy like many places.

I ordered the nova with chive cream cheese, which was excellent. The bagel paired perfectly with the creamy, flavorful spread, and everything tasted fresh and well-balanced. I also got a bacon, egg, and cheese on an everything bagel, and it was exactly what you want from a classic breakfast sandwich — hearty, satisfying, and made even better by how good the bagel itself was.

We also took home half a dozen loose bagels to try different varieties, and every one held up in quality and texture. The tuna salad on a bagel was another standout — fresh, flavorful, and generous in portion.

Service was efficient even during busy hours, and the shop has an easy, casual neighborhood feel that makes it a great go-to breakfast or lunch stop.

Overall, Bethesda Bagels delivers what a true bagel shop should: amazing bagels with the right chew, crust, and flavor. Definitely one of the best bagel options in the area, and I’ll absolutely be coming back.

This is a new location for Bethesda Bagels and has soon become a local favorite. The place is always busy and the staff is friendly and helpful!
They have a good selection of freshly made bagels and many options for cream cheese and toppings. We have tried many of the bagel flavors and have liked all of them. They also have many options for bagel sandwiches which are generous is portion size.

Definitely a welcome addition to the area!

I’ve gotten bagels at this location around 3 times now. It’s a bagel, and that’s about it. Well constructed and doesn’t fall apart. Taste is pretty much just a bagel. Biggest issue is that every time I order either an everything bagel or jalapeño cheddar, and I always end up with a plain bagel… Check your bagels before heading out of the store!

Edit: I’ve been to the old georgetown location a good number of times and they’re always great. Would recommend that location over this one currently if you don’t mind a bit of an extra drive.

No glutten free options, need to have more diversity.

One of the few times I don't feel slightly ripped off, the bagel was large with a well built shell and soft interior. The sandwich itself was well executed, and decently stuffed.

Bethesda bagels is great! But I cannot for the life of me understand why they close at 330PM? There are droves of high schoolers and other people who would love to grab a bagel after school/work but for some reason this place cuts off that option entirely!?

I usually love Bethesda bagels but everytime I go to this location they mess up my online order. I order a cream cheese bagel with tomato, cucumbers and capers. Everytime they add salmon without tomato’s. This is only a big problem because I’m vegetarian and can’t eat salmon!

Ordered a bagel with veggies. No veggies. Brought bagel back in, staff made it seem like I had made a mistake. No further compensation for time lost or order wrong. Mind you, this place isn't cheap.
The other Bethesda Bagels I've been to are far more considerate. Love Bethesda Bagels as a whole. Just this one seems a bit lacks.
