Ordered 4 meals (3 lunches )around one yesterday. One was this morning’s breakfast , Quiche Lorraine. Ate it after warming first. I was dumbfounded at the excellent taste of the whole thing after a day sitting in my fridge. Mostly the crust flavor was delicious. A bit thick but perfect for the contents it carried. I can’t remember ever writing a review for crust but this crust warrants this praise.

As a young professional addicted to the bakery scene, Christophe hits the right spots when it comes to pastries. Lot of bakery places on 355 but not too many closer to the cabin john suburbs, so this place serves me vitally when it comes to delicate cakes.
They know their pastries. Even with inflation your pastry portions are generous. The opera and mille feullie slices are hearty, and the fruit pastries have a generous amount of fresh fruits on them. Even smaller sized pastries will be rich, dense, and complex with multiple layers. Well worth it.
I must say however, I'm not sure how to feel about the multiple deli-style salads and pre-packaged supermarket style french snacks/cracker/biscuits. Do people buy those? A bakery first and foremost is selling their baked goods, not the bag of crackers. Personally I've found all these items to be too much clutter for the store (especially with the already limited real estate), but hey, if the sales numbers are there, what do I know.
I DO wish the coffee was a step up. I think there's an opportunity to fill in a niche gap for a specialty coffee service here in the cabin john suburbs with a big ole La mazarco. Unfortunately I think this location serves illy coffee which I don't know about ya'll, but I believe is roasted to heck.
However, at the end of the day, this place is known for its pastries, baked goods, breads, and sandwhiches. It absolutely excels at this, and have never felt regretful for any of my pastry purchases. I love the ones that are glazed (like the colombo) and salivate at the others. Should you need to impress someone, keep this location in mind.
Edit: dawg the staff gotta actually help clean up the place cmonnnnn,. every table got trash and stains, the trash bins and plate collection bins are stacked full on carts, theres napkins everywhere, and yet we got 4 people behind the counter like pleaseeeeeeee im begginggggggg yalll

I usually love their cakes slices but this order was pretty bad. The chocolate slice cake was
So hard and looked weird, i didn’t even try it. The marble cake tasked old, the hazelnut was ok but it looks like it was the last piece, the back was full of crumbs. The Mille
Feuille tasted good but soggy not crispy as usual. The Gateau Nantais Slice was very good soft and moist and the flan vanilla was delicious you could tell both of them were freshly made.

As a Frenchman, I feel so privileged to have this bakery around the corner. The bread is just as good as in Paris, if not better, and pastries such as the tropezienne and the fruit tarts are delicious. Croissants and chocolatines too. Just a shame that you have to pay almost 5 dollars for a baguette, which is 4-5 times more than in France, meaning I won’t buy it daily.

Besides delicious pastries, the best part of Boulangerie Christophe is the staff! Super friendly and kind to everyone who walks through the door. The gourmet sandwiches are a huge hit for my 15-year-old son too.
It’s very delicious, smooth, right amount of sugar.

Passo spesso da Boulangerie Christophe per colazione, uso i buoni pasto Coverflex e mi chiedevo se li accettate anche qui. Non vi trovo nell’app, sarebbe comodo poterli usare per un cornetto al volo!

Today was my first visit, and the Mont Blanc and apricot croissant were absolutely amazing! I will definitely keep coming back to try many other menu items. I’m a serious foodie and just thinking about it excites me! Yay!!
However, I took off one star because I noticed a subtle lotion-like scent in the croissant(or the wax paper). I’m not sure if it was from the bread itself or the seller’s hand lotion, but it wasn’t the expected butter or apricot aroma. Maybe I’m too sensitive, but it felt a bit off. I hope this can be improved.
That being said, I rarely leave Google reviews, but I wanted to share positive feedback about this boulangerie. I will definitely be back to try more items!
