Place used to be great however, the portions recently have gotten smaller and smaller. If you don't want to waste money I suggest finding a different location or just giving your business elsewhere. It's apparent that this is the main negative comment about this location yet nothing changes.
I absolutely love Chipotle and come here at least 4 or 5 times a week, but I always make a special effort to visit the location at Potomac Village. The team here is incredibly kind and always makes sure I leave satisfied! I usually ask for rice without cilantro, and they always accommodate my request without hesitation. Their kindness and attention to detail mean so much to me. I especially want to shout out Sylvia, she’s truly the best! Her lovable personality always brightens my day and makes each visit feel extra special. Everyone at this location is amazing, and of course, the food is too!
I just want to tell to employer don’t throw the sauce when customers ask you. That’s your job just do the best
Bizarre rule!
My partner and I had lunch at Chipotle’s in Potomac, MD, today. Besides drinks, we ordered two food menu items to share, one of them was a burrito, as we needed to cut it in half, I went to the Service Bar to get a knife, but they didn’t have any. I then went back to the food bar to let them know they were out of plastic knives and the lady working there told me they didn’t have any. I asked her to please cut my fajita in half, she seemed confused (¿?) and after talking with her manager, she told me she couldn’t do it. I asked her to lend me one of the knives they had on the back wall and she said she couldn’t. I asked to talk to the manager (her name is Sylvia) and when she came out, Sylvia confirmed there were no plastic knives and that the store didn’t cut burritos in half. I asked why not, she just said “we don’t do it”.
This was a bizarre experience, after all my request wasn’t difficult to fulfill; Subway and other food-counter style restaurants do it. In any case, I ended up cutting the fajita with a plastic fork and it all became unnecessarily messy.
BTW, the fajita was very salty, it’s true I haven’t been to Chipotle’s in months or maybe years, I don’t remember them being excessively salty. Is it only this specific Chipotle or are all of them like this? I wonder the levels of sodium intake each of them have, probably not a very healthy option for a meal.
In conclusion, I don’t feel like going back to Chipotle’s anymore. But all the same, thanks for the “great” dinning experience!
Very ridiculous that they don’t sell you a quesadilla while in the store. You are forced to do it online. What a great customer service.
What can be said, Chipotle's is Chipotle's you eat there when you're desperate. It is affordable and depending on how you construct it it can taste very good and depending on the time of day it can be fresh.
Perfect spot for night stop!
This branch has been a hit or miss for me. My first two or three visits were great—the food was fresh and the service was professional. However, more recently, the quality has noticeably declined. The rice has sometimes been undercooked, which really affects the meal experience. While I appreciate the convenience, the inconsistency in quality makes it hard to fully recommend this branch.

I went to the Chipotle at Potomac River rd many times. The food is consistently fresh and generous and delicious I met the manager Paola there, and she did a great job serving the food and the customer and services. Way to go !!

I ordered a bowl - double everything. The person serving me was cold and refused to give me even a single serving when I asked for a double. The result was an 18$ chipotle bowl that was the most sad and flat I have ever seen. The person serving me took meat OUT OF my bowl, after she put it in. Absolutely horrible food.

I usually love Chipotle, but this time I was really disappointed. I ordered a burrito with barbacoa and sour cream, and the portions were incredibly skimpy. There was barely any barbacoa, and they were very stingy with the sour cream as well. For the price I’m paying, I expect better portion sizes. It just didn’t hit the spot like it normally does. Hopefully, they improve on their serving sizes because this was not worth it.

I've been here many times over years, but recently it's gone downhill. Just went later at night, with only one other person waiting and the guy taking my order was rushing and messing it up. He went and put the wrong toppings without waiting for me to say what I wanted and was slopping the food everywhere. Before my order, he was unable to wrap a burrito properly. I also discovered when I got home that he way overfilled my bowl and didn't put the lid on properly and now my car passenger seat is covered in meat drippings
