This was one of the BEST sushi restaurants I’ve ever tried. Everything was flavorful, well thought out and made with care and attention to detail. The kale salad was fresh and the carrot ginger dressing was delicious. I had the miso soup and it was phenomenal. The table was very narrow so it was tricky having to move things around however that didn’t take away from the dining experience. The lemonades were amazing and the rolls were so amazing we couldn’t stop talking about the food after we left. 10/10 and I can’t wait to go back!
The food was delicious, the staff very friendly. The atmosphere I rated slightly lower only because it's quite loud in there, but overall was a very good experience. If you are a sushi lover, I highly recommend this place.
Food and service was great.
Food was heavenly, service was outstanding, and the atmosphere was cozy.
This is hands down the best sushi for the price in the DMV, the Bento box is an amazing deal and I highly recommend
Loved the delicate and creative menu offers. It is certainly not like the usual, plain vanilla sushi places everywhere. Would go back whenever I can.
Lunch was fantastic. The bento box was thoughtfully prepared and such a great deal. Excellent service!
Kema by Kenaki is innovative and a brilliant take on traditional dishes, without being pretentious and excessively indulgent.
I ordered the Black Magic Roll and the Crispy Rice/Spicy Tuna. Both were great and we're completely different from any food I had had at a Japanese restaurant without it being too much of a departure from tradition.
It's not going to be everyones cup of tea, but if you're looking for a new restaurant experience, look no further.
The best sushi. Even typical small rolls like spicy tuna or salmon rolls taste insanely good.
They have great lunch bento special, highly recommend.
My husband and I had dinner there last night. The service was very friendly, especially our waiter Jacob. The quality of the ingredients was top notch. The fish, the rice, everything was very fresh and great quality. The flavors were sometime a miss, like the Hamachi crudo with the grapefruit where the grapefruit flavor was bitter and overpower the fish. However, the toro tataki was very good and the flavors complemented the fish. I would also add a kick of flavor to the spicy tuna roll. Overall, we enjoyed the food and cleaned out our plates. We will definitely come back to try out more things on the menu.

Ken and his team are the absolute best! This is the best sushi in the DMV amongst all the other dishes.
Hands down best lunch special , the bento box.
Try the new cocktails too, get the old fashion. 🔥🔥🔥
I ordered via Uber Eats and was very satisfied with the quality and taste of my order. Highly recommend the crispy rice + spicy tuna and the duroc pork belly bun. The spicy tuna roll wasn’t spicy, but the tuna was so delicious. Kale salad and dressing were a nice addition. Will definitely order again!
This was my first experience with this restaurant and it was nothing but amazing. The DUROC PORK BELLY BUN is my absolute favorite of all the dishes I ordered! The service was really good and the manager is so sweet. I’ll definitely be back!
Love this place. Come here a little too often, since my son has music lessons upstairs each week. Crispy rice and the black magic roll are not to miss. The quality of the sushi is excellent and the moriawase has some really unique specialty selections. Jacob was fantastic and made some great recommendations. Ken and Aki are often here and so friendly. One of our favorite places to eat out!
The food was edible but I would equate it to grocery store sushi. The sushi had very sharp piece of cucumber which were hard to chew. The flavor wasn’t really there. The rice was unseasoned. The atmosphere does not feel like somewhere you would want to eat sushi at. I had high hopes but they were not met.
