King Street Oyster Bar

My friend loves to be the first in line for everything, and go to restaurants as soon as they open up is one of his favorites. Services was excellent, and the coffee, drinks and food came out hot and delicious since there were only two parties in the restaurant. I had the fried oyster platter, which was really good, and I loved my spouse’s seafood pasta. It tasted wonderful, with good deal of seafood and tasty broth. The strawberry shortcake dessert was an excellent way to finish off our meal.

Went for happy hour oysters and the whole table, 4 people, ended up with food poisoning (8/26/2025). Called to let them know, they refused to compensate us because it would be “admitting fault”. Don’t go here, they don’t take responsibility & the poising was horrendous!!!

It was very quiet in the afternoon when we had lunch. Food, service, and atmosphere great. There's something on the menu for everyone, kids included. We would definitely go again.

Fantastic happy hour with lots of food and drink options for $5-$10. Our server and food was great, although the kitchen was a bit slow preparing our steamed muscles. Given the number of customers, everything seemed reasonable. We’ll be back!

My experience is based on the happy hour, and I have to say it’s amazing! The happy hour menu and deals are hard to beat. The food was very good, and the drink prices can’t be matched. We arrived right when happy hour was starting, which was perfect, because it does get pretty crowded as it goes on. Service was solid the whole time, and we never felt rushed. Definitely worth checking out!

The experience was very disappointing. From the moment I arrived, the host did not acknowledge me right away. When she finally seated us, the table was placed uncomfortably close to others—less than two feet apart. We waited over 10 minutes and no one came to take our order or even greet us. On top of that, the climate inside was unbearable, extremely hot, as if the air conditioning wasn’t working. Overall, it was not a pleasant dining experience.
Not recommend or will not come again.

Service was super slow and messed up almost every dish. We got water, but not cups until 20 mins later. They didn’t put in our food until 45 mins later. Meat was undercooked. We ordered 3 appetizers (which were comped because they took so long). We ordered 2 dinners and the burger was not cooked so they took it off the bill. Overall bad experience on many different levels but management tried to fix things.

I came here after hiking Great Falls, I’m from NC and I’m not used to such a great dining experience!

Hate to do this because I come here often and up until yesterday loved it. This is my friend and I’s designated happy hour spot and yesterday we both got sick. We got completely different food and drinks and didn’t share anything. I thought that was strange. I then remembered that one of my other friends got sick from here a few months ago from a different dish. As I was telling my friend that I came here with this, she remembered her father in law got sick her from another dish. As I was reading reviews, I saw someone mention that their waiters are using their bare hands to deliver food and sometimes touch the food with their hands when running food, making drinks, etc. that is way too many people getting sick from all different dishes so I’d caution you to be careful when eating here. Unfortunately I won’t be back.

Oysters small extra small and expensive no issue with paying for non Happy Hour Oysters but not good quality . Service very slow not busy .

I had a great experience at King Oyster. Grace and Lauren were amazing, super friendly and attentive. I was seated right away, which was a nice surprise. The happy hour menu was both reasonable and satisfying, with great options to choose from. Everyone I interacted with was kind and welcoming, and the food was absolutely delicious. I’ll definitely be coming back!
