Wanted to try because it is a chef-driven restaurant. Did not disappoint. I am fine with a robust bill for quality food and execution, and that is what they served. Hoping to come back to try the early or late happy hour.

Met friends who recommended Lock 72 for a quick outdoor lunchMenu, staff and service were quite good but found the food to be "just so-so".We had the chicken sandwich and signature burger with signature fries and a side of brussel sprouts. The burger was way under cooked (not to order), signature fries were a collection of over seasoned stubbly little shoe strings (1 to 1.5 inch) and the brussel sprouts were greasy, deep fried and burnt.Because we were with friends that recommended the place we did not complain--but we won't be going back to Weidmaier's Lock 72.

Parking: Busy strip mall parking area near Strosnieder's Hardware.

We had an exceptional day yesterday, and Lock 72 was a big part of it! We were greeted and seated with smiles. The main service was outstanding all the way through the meal--it was the guy with the heavy clear frame glasses, and he knows his stuff. We started with the watermelon gazpacho and shrimp cocktails, and both were excellent. So refreshing after our hike at Great Falls (we cleaned up before coming to the restaurant)! My entree was the steak sandwich and thankfully we had gotten the mushroom side, because as delicious as the sandwich is, adding some mushrooms to many of the bites improves it still. The sweet potato puree side was like a dessert. The consistency was similar to that of a mousse. Get it! One of my companions got the crab cakes and filet combo and reserved a couple of bites for me, and yes they were delicious. Highly recommend!

Excellent food, but very pricey: $42 for some tuna alone - no veggies or carbs! Not even bread was brought to the table. The service was mediocre - no salt and pepper on the table "setup", and the waiter didn't understand what I meant when Iasked whether the tuna was moist or dry.

Excellent food and drinks. I asked that my duck be cooked to a specific color and they got it done perfectly. Pricey but worth it.

Parking: It's in a shopping center. There is plenty of parking. There is handicapped parking and a charging station for e-vehicles.

Really charming local restaurant. Lovely modern but warm decor featuring local scenes/art. Friendly attentive staff. Excellent food, especially the swordfish and mussels.Potomac prices, but it was also a quality meal. I look forward to the next time!Great bartenders with a variety of cocktails

The bartender seemed more focused on chatting with a friend. Beer glasses came half foam, with no effort to fill them. Might have been nice with the right service.

Really charming local restaurant. Lovely modern but warm decor featuring local scenes/art. Friendly attentive staff. Excellent food, especially the swordfish sandwich. We came for lunch but it would be a nice spot for dinner, too. Potomac prices, but it was also a quality meal. I look forward to the next time!

We've eaten here twice and both times have been superb. I can't say enough good about this restaurant. The food is cooked perfectly. We had the beet salad, and fried calamari, and fresh oysters. ALL were so delicious. Dinner, grilled rockfish cooked perfectly. 16 oz rib eye split for 2, musles, Swordfish was devored in 5 minutes it was so good. The mac and cheese with truffles, YUM, fried brussels sprouts were gone in minutes, and the potato puree was light and smooth. Then as a birthday, a beautiful dessert of frozen raspberry yogurt topped with whipped cream, berries and chocolate. It was expensive wiht the drinks, which were also devine, but the price does warrant the food, service and surroundings. Love this restaurant!

Went for drinks with some friends on the weekend and had a great time. Great food and drinks and a wonderful, fun bartender named Cody who personalized our drinks to suit our individual preferences. Will definitely come back- such a quaint location with the building tucked into a recessed area of the shopping center. Nice intimate setting inside with a friendly staff.

Overpriced food poisoning. Ordered burger medium, came out steak tartare mush. Friend ordered salmon and asparagus. Somehow raw asparagus with way too much cheese is $10. Just threw up and hoping it goes away tomorrow. Avoid.

Went on a Sunday and while we had a decent bit of a wait for an outdoor table - this place is fantastic! The wings, oysters, thai mussels, mushroom pasta, and burgers were all great. Ambiance was lovely. The ice cream was a beautiful surprise for the kiddos. Service started a bit slow but wow did they come through at the end. 10/10. Definitely recommend sitting outside. Thanks!
