I booked Founding Farmers in Maryland because it was restaurant week Winter 2026. Unfortunately they were not participating for lunch but for dinner on Monday, July 19, 2026.
Server was great. Food was great. Upstairs noise level was extremely loud, tight area with short ceilings. Everyone trying to speak loudly to hear one another. Don't recommend bringing someone hard of hearing, or go at quieter times. Overall fine. Noise level made the experience less enjoyable.
One if my guests received the wrong dish...waiter admitted screwing it up. Another guest did not receive her side order..we had to remind waiter to go get it.
The food was very disappointing. The French dip was on a stale hoagie roll with beef over cooked. my husband's pastrami sandwich was very greasy and he did not finish it. We will probably not return again. Very chain like with no imagination and very substandard food.
Good menu with a good amount of variety. Food was tasty and portions were a good size. Server was friendly and the food was good.
The food was fantastic and our server was really great, especially managing such a busy section. My guest and I were a little put off by the host stand experience as we watched guests who entered after us (with the same amount of guests) get seated before us. Better crowd control, more organization and friendlier demeanor is definitely needed up front but all in all a great dining experience.
Service was absolutely horrific. Two of us went for brunch and order coffee and two breakfast items. We waited 15 mins for coffee and the food actually came out before coffee was served. The server didn't come to our table a single time after the food was dropped off, with the exception of bringing the check. This was Saturday at 12:30pm and we were seated upstairs. Terrible experience, compared to founding farmers in Tyson's and the three DC locations. Would not recommend based on this experience in Potomac.
We assumed that since the Tysons and Reston locations had a weekend brunch buffet it would be available at MoCo, too. Nope. The options that they had were surprisingly mediocre and certainly not worth the prices. The setting was nice--if a bit loud--and service was decent.
Came by on the way home from Wreaths Across America. Sat at the bar as I was by myself and didn't want to wait 15 minutes for a table. Ordered 2 eggs over easy with bacon, cheesy grits, sour dough bread and a vanilla latte. The latte came in a beautiful cup and was the best I've had in a while. The cheesy grits were the best and just what I was looking for. The bar staff was the best!
My 3 sons love going to FF in Potomac, MD. So of course that’s where they wanted to take me for my birthday. 3 managers stopped by to wish me a happy birthday, just an unbelievable touch by Stephan, Will & Jeff- what a team they have there. But Kristi’s service and how she interacted with my kids set the experience apart. You can tell she loves working for FF and she knows absolutely every question to ask for every dish, and she tailors the questions to the age of the guest. What an experience! Oh and get their boxes of peppermint bark before they’re out, unreal!

We had burgers, sandwiches and chicken, the food was delicious. Maria G. served us, she was really friendly and helpful, definitely will come again!
We booked a table for six for Thanksgiving and this was our first time here. We got a lovely round banquette table upstairs. It was very crowded so I was thankful to be away from most of the noise. Our server was really nice - Davon, I think. The menu is simplified for Thanksgiving so not as many choices as normal. The fried chicken had some peppery heat and it was delicious. Turkey was very moist and flavorful. Prime rib was just ok - not much flavor. Sides were mashed potatoes, sweet potatoes, stuffing and green beans. The green beans were very hard to cut, even harder than if they were raw. That seemed odd. Desserts were huge - we had the salted caramel cheesecake, apple pie and pecan pie. All were very good, especially the vanilla ice cream that came with the apple pie. They sell their chocolate downstairs and I bought some dark chocolate with almonds. I ended up not liking it. Also, check the dates on the bottom of the boxes. Some are close to expiring. I would love to return to FF and try other things on their menu or perhaps return for breakfast!
Restaurant was clean. Good was great, as always. Isaiah A was an excellent server. Quick and efficient. Will definitely be back!!
Kevin was our server at Founding Farmers. He gave us excellent service. I highly recommend him. The food was so delicious but the service was exceptional. The atmosphere was perfect for thanksgiving day. Location was Potomac, MD. Great value, great food, great service.
Had a great Thanksgiving day experience with family, including a mobility impaired senior citizen! Everything went so smoothly -- our waitress Gabby was kind, patient and attentive. We'll be back!
