The food and service are amazing! I am from out of state and I really wanted crab cakes while I was here. I'm so glad I came here for them! They split our entree for us which was really nice. The crab cakes were delicious as was the bread pudding!

My husband and I wanted some fresh seafood while in the area on a business trip and I found this market online that also serves food (restaurant section is small). I am so glad we decided to give it a try. We had the crab dip appetizer which came with fresh baked bread. My husband had the seafood bisque and it was excellent. We both ordered the crab cakes as our entrée. They were amazing!! I would say the best I’ve had. So good, in fact, that we plan to order crab cakes and have them shipped home to us out of state soon. I had Brussel sprouts and corn salad as sides. My husband had corn salad and butternut squash. If I am ever back in the area, I will definitely go back. We also got a cheesecake to go which was pretty good. They had a steady flow of customers the entire time we were there who were picking up fresh seafood and sides from their hot bar. There were a lot of great sides to choose from. They have a bakery as well with baked goods and a variety of desserts. Our waitress (and another waiter) were both so friendly and made us feel so welcome. They have a great thing going there. I wish we had a place like this where we live. We highly recommend!

Great visit today thanks to Bill. Got some fantastic scallops and duck prosciutto to try. (Spoiler alert: Yes, outstanding together). Can't speak higher praise of the lobster rolls, the hamburgers (truly!), and the fresh baked desserts. Oh my god the peaches and cream. But you know what tops even the amazing seafood...? The staff's care and consideration of every customer and their professional eye for quality. Thank you Bill and Odonnel's family!

Wow. That's all I can say. The prices are absolutely reasonable and the crabmeat is sublime. If I lived nearby I'd probably eat here every day hahaha

I didn’t get to the point where I could actually get my food because during my order another person (guy with white hair) paused the person taking my order and told him to go to the Back in the middle of my order and then he moved me to the side to ring someone else up who came about 10 mins after me . The part that upset me the most is I drive 30 minutes to try the soft shell crabs . I simply just walked away because it’s no way you stop my order to do that . The original person matt was a delight and very nice

I've been going to O'Donnell's since the 80's. It's the same good food as the original O'Donnell's in Bethesda and the Kentlands.
Great seafood never goes out of style; the lobster rolls are really good.
Hailey was great! Enjoyed the clam chowder, fried oyster and oysters Rockefeller! Would recommend all of them!

Sadly, just one star. Have been unconditional patrons and fans of O'Donnell's for many years and left positive reviews.. Never had to wait, orders were always ready, or almost ready by the time of the arrival.
Several months ago made us wait, and started to shuck oysters only when we arrived. Lucky for us there were two people doing that , so we waited for 10 minutes being in the way of other customers which was not fun.
Yesterday, on the 26th, we called, established the time for a pick-up, asked if they needed a heads up 15 minutes before arrival, but they said no. When we arrived 2 minutes before the deadline the lady behind the counter snapped at us ( very harshly) saying she was busy - we were the only customers in the store. After waiting for some time, and customers arriving and piling up around us, a young guy showed up and started to arrange oysters for schucking. I asked why the order was not ready, he said they have been very busy. The guy was nice, but there wasn't anyone around to help him. We realized we would have to wait for at least 20 minutes and we left.
I understand what being busy means, but you had our phone number, and you could have called and asked for extra time. Or you could have told us when we called that you needed more time. In this case, we would have rearranged our schedule for you - we are just two miles away. Instead, the lady took the order, treated us badly upon arrival , and left us with the only option - leave. We do understand oysters can't be shucked in advance, but, somehow, you managed not to keep us waiting before. It is not our first order here. The service started to slip up in the past year. Very sad, it was such a nice place
