This is my 2nd time here. I did not leave a review my first time. I really enjoyed their lemonades last time I had the blue raspberry. It was on the sweeter side, but I actually appreciate that because it allows me to go home, pour some out and cut it with water, and now I have two lemonades for the price of one. As far as food I got catfish last time and it was season so well. I went to Hip Hop Chicken and got catfish yesterday and it only made me miss southern blue catfish. I was able to see the difference in seasoning versus someone just adding lemon pepper and sugar on top of the catfish. Their catfish at southern blues is actually seasoned well, hence why I came back again today. I don't know how they make their cornbread, but it had me craving more. I can tell there is cinnamon in it, but I don't know what else, but I really do enjoy it. - Their cabbage is good and their sweet potato's is delicious!! - I would definitely recommend this place as a great carryout option for soul food. Next time I come, I'm looking forward to trying their Chicken and I'll be back to leave another review.

Today was my first time visiting Southern Blues in over five years, it was a little overpriced for me, but I wanted some ‘soul’ food. Ordered the baked chicken breast, mashed potatoes and gravy and green beans. The chicken was a little dry without much seasoning and the green beans had an unusual salty sweet taste but the potatoes were not bad. In my opinion, still pricey for the quantity of food.

This place is wonderful. Huge portions of food always steaming hot. I always get the salmon and it is perfectly cooked and placed on a bed of rice. The mashed potatoes are fantastic as well as so many items on the menu. The employees are friendly and helpful and the music is good too.
