Great atmosphere and really fun staff. everyone was so friendly and knowledgeable, surprisingly not alot of people when I went during a world cup match but everyone there was enjoying the game. The beer is great and a nice little area to take a post bar walk after. looking forward to going back again

I was referred to this place by my best friend and no regrets at all! They hosted my daughter‘s UMD college grad party and went above and beyond to make sure everyone had a great time. We had the “den “ reserved for us, And the buffet that was set up was delicious and beautifully presented I appreciated the sign they made as well! The weather didn’t allow us to have some of our party outside, but they were very accommodating and made sure we had enough space for all of the attendees. Great staff, great food, great drinks, super fun atmosphere! Thank you again for helping make this event happen, I had no worries, no stress and appreciated that since coming from West coast!🥰

We hosted a large celebration with 30+ people in a buffet-style setting. The staff was super helpful in setting up the event for us, and very flexible on the event date when we needed assistance. Thank you!

Beer was good with a decently variety. The service was also very good. But the food was good and bad. The veggie burger was good, as were the fries. But the steak sandwich had almost nothing inside it, I can’t believe they actually serve it.

How can you mess up fish and chips? Fish and batter were tasteless, fish either had freezer burn or was not fully cooked, batter was soft and slimy, and gastrointestinal effects were noticeable the morning after this dinner. One star for hardship.

We held the rehearsal dinner for my son's wedding at Denizens. They handled 75 guests with aplomb. The staff was courteous and efficient, everyone enjoyed the food and raved about the beer. It was the perfect spot for our event.

I come to Denizens every Thursday for Nate’s trivia night—he really knows how to run a great event, and the place is always packed. Unfortunately, the consistently high energy of trivia nights doesn’t excuse the lack of attentiveness from a few of the servers.

It typically takes around ten minutes just to place an order and even longer for food to arrive, with no updates unless we flag someone down. Servers often don’t write down or verify orders, which leads to mistakes. Last Thursday, one of the male servers reviewed my order at the end of the night and found an error. He did fix it, but the interaction felt rushed and avoidable.

There have also been several uncomfortable moments with this same server. While I was paying for my meal (a Sprite and cake), I struggled to find the card reader, and although he offered to help, he ended up taking it out of my hands. During trivia, he also tried to remove my plate without asking—even though I still had food on it—and I had to convince him to let me finish. Tonight (February 5th), he handled my checkout again. I paid with a $5 bill for fries, but he didn’t return my change until I approached another server. I eventually received only a dollar back and spoke with the manager.

This particular server lacks basic interpersonal communication skills, and if I were his supervisor, I would pull him aside for training on how to interact respectfully and professionally with customers. I enjoy coming here for trivia, but the service issues are becoming hard to overlook.

My friends and I came by for Thursday Night Trivia, and it was so much fun!! We got there early to eat, and I ordered the sweet and spicy garlic chili, crisp chicken wings, and the Berry Mary to drink, and both were delicious. We had enjoyed trivia and the great vibes. The questions were sooo hard, or actually, we are warming up this week, and next time we will come back strong and make the top 3.

Good food and drink, good local beers, good service. Stopped in from Rockville area for an event. While most breweries in my area are basically nurseries and babysitting areas that serve beer, Denizens had a more traditional bar/sports bar feel to it. Wish I lived closer to it
