My husband and I travelled a pretty long way to spend our 15th anniversary in Rockhall. We were looking forward to a quiet , secluded getaway.
By the time we arrived we were starving as we had travelled most of the day. We read the reviews and decided on this place despite not being able to view a menu anywhere.
1. The venue itself is nicely appointed and the view is great. It is very difficult to find however and it took us 10 minutes to locate the actual restaurant. (It's upstairs ).
2. The waitress we had was lovely, friendly and attentive.
3. The appetizer ( autumn hummus) was sub par in my opinion but ended up being the best part of the whole meal.
4. My husband ordered the harvest ravioli with chicken. When it arrived we both looked at each other stunned. There were 6 small raviolis with a small plate on the side with an incredibly dry , withered piece of chicken. The ravioli and the chicken were most definitely frozen. The presentation was comical .
5. I ordered the lobster risotto. I was hesitant about the price being that I could have gotten 2 lobster tails at a competing restaurant for the same price. I was given a cereal bowl with truly looked like rice slop with very little lobster.
I am a business owner so I do try and be understanding and give the benefit of the doubt but we spent a lot of money on dinner that was not even moderate. We ended up stopping on the way back to our hotel to get snacks because the quantity and quality of the dinner we had just didn't satiate us.
Overall the waitstaff was great. The venue was nice but the quantity and quality of the food compared to price was not on the same level whatsoever.
1. If you are looking for the place, it is UPSTAIRS above the marina store. Signage is terrible. Look for small signs. There is a big staircase to the left of the store entrance or an elevator in the lobby. The wheelchair ramp is on the RIGHT end of the building opposite the entrance to the elevator. Better signage is really needed.
2. The sunset view from the deck and lounge area is great.
3. Staff is very friendly.
4. Service was a bit slow. This allowed time to chat but best of you are in a hurry. The place is newish and I am sure they will figure it out. 5. The kitchen is downstairs. Servers have to climb stairs to serve you.
6. The food was very good. The crab dip and potstickers were great appetizers. Flavorful and nicely presented.
7. The pizza was a good size and beautiful. Tasty too. Scallops with lemon risotto was very well presented and flavorful. The riotto was undercooked but very tasty. The salmon dish was very tasty as well. The cavatelli were cooked al dented, just right.
If you can find it, a nice place to have a drink with a view as well as probably the best meal in town at big city prices.

Fancy but soul-less... The bread was great, the crab dip seemed to be about 90% cream cheese. Ceasar salad was, a Caesar salad. Interior was all hard surfaces, so it was insanely loud and echoey, just terrible. View was amazing, but, to be honest: go for crabs in the lower key space across the water, if you want the local fine dining, head to Flying Decoy.

Wonderful addition to the Rock Hall dining scene. Attractive, modern space on 2nd floor with wide deck and views over the harbor and out to the Bay. Menu is appealing and adapted based on what’s fresh in the markets. Pleasant staff, prompt service- only issue is noise; we could hardly hear each other or servers, as the hard surfaces bounce sound around. A few fabric items to absorb sound, & this could be perfect!

A new owner and nice newish space with a winding staircase to nowhere, the food is good and pretty high end compared to most places in Rock Hall. Boaters from elsewhere will keep the place going. Stop in, you’ll love it.

Had an amazing dinner here last night! I had the scallops and a strawberry gin drink that were delicious! The service was excellent and it was great to have a wonderful conversation with one of the owners. Highly recommend! Oh....and the Sunset was just as fabulous! 👍#chesapeakebay #rockhallmd #chestertownmd #chesapeakebaysunsets😀
