Flying Decoy Bar and Grill

We stayed locally for a vacation getaway. We went for dinner during happy hour and it was incredible! The food was fresh and delicious. The service was amazing! We will return during our next trip. I highly recommend it!

First time at the flying decoy but it won’t be the last. Food was terrific, waitstaff was friendly and efficient, and the atmosphere is relaxing.

We found Flying Decoy when we docked and found that the marina restaurants were all closed for lunch. This was an easy walk from the waterfront. We sat outside and our meals were delicious. I had the decoy burger with the cucumber salad - yum! My husband had one of the three course lunch specials. Everything was great as was the service! We’ll definitely go back.

First time at Flying Decoy in Rockhall from a recommendation of the owner of North Point Marina. We took our boat to Rockhall and met friends from Chestertown. Greeted immediately and seated. Dining area used to be a church. We were immediately provided water, lemon and 4 glasses. Our waitress Maddie was very nice and attentive. My friend and I both ordered the grilled salmon and the guys ordered the burger that had tons of bacon. All was great. We were not rushed in any way and enjoyed a few drinks. Would definitely go back next time in Rockhall.

I Had the brisket sandwich wasn't bad wasn't great. Very plain.. The atmosphere was real nice though. The Service was excellent. Wife had the crab cake which was good by her standards. Maybe I shoulda got something else. Will probably go again just cause the drive is so nice

My appetizer was shrimp with a nice sauce and hard bread which was very acceptable... My main course was boullibaise. The calimari was seriously over cooked, the shrimp was somewhat over cooked, and the stock was under seasoned. This was somewhat of a disappointment!

Went here for a Saturday lunch while in Rock Hall for the weekend. Excellent restaurant and our server Madelyn was awesome. I had the very tasty Cream of Crab soup as well as a local pint of craft beer. My wife and I both ordered the shrimp & grits which was a huge order with 9 shrimp that were cooked to perfection and the grits were outstanding too.

We didn't get any food. Stopped in for a drink. The nice man next to me had the potato skins and they looked amazing! The bartenders seemed to be new. They tried very hard. The menu prices are not current, which is not cool.

Never had tough deveined shrimp until the 7 shrimp that we had tonight. Not a quality shrimp used in this Spainish Shrimp appetizer. Portions are very small for entrées. Out of menu items and specials again, which has happend last 2 times before. Never left review bc they were working out the kinks. Closed earlier than advertised last Monday by 1.5 hrs and refused a burger as I could hear the conversation on the phone between the person in charge, whom clearly stated the food being cooked was for the wait staff and they are closed. The time was 8:30pm when this happened. According to the internet source closing time was 10pm.Think we are done trying to get a good meal and drinks.It's a shame bc we wanted to see better and hoped it would get there. Food is editable its just overpriced, for overcooked small portions and inconsistency in the cocktails. Maybe we'll try it again in a year.

The mussels app and the blue catfish entree were outstanding. Great service as well. Reservations can be made online, which I appreciate. You can definitely eat well in The Rock!
