Fresh Start Food and Garden

I’ve always loved everything about Fresh Start, but I hadn't yet tried the deli sandwiches. Now, I'm an even bigger fan! When we needed to serve a large group after the triathlon in Rock Hall, Fresh Start made it so easy for me to order over 10 subs. I placed the order a day earlier and they were ready for pickup right on time. Every sandwich—from the Italian to the roast beef and veggie options—was a big hit with our guests. The portions were generous, and the flavors were fantastic, plus it saved me hours of prep time! Big thanks, and we'll keep returning for groceries + sandwiches whenever we can.

Fresh Start recently added cheese steaks to their menu and let me tell you by far the best cheese steak in Rock Hall hands down, trust me try one ,you definitely won't be disappointed. Thank you Fresh Start .

The kingdom of heaven has come near to you. One star review fully deserved. Rude unfair treatment is not appreciated. I bought sliced watermelon from this store days ago, I noticed when trying to eat it, that it was crunchy, like sandy dirt on the pieces. I noticed there was a bunch of dirt on a lot of the pieces, as if it was cut on the ground or on a cutting board that had sand on it. It wasn't noticed until careful inspection. Even after rinsing the pieces of, I could still feel and hear crunching sounds, gross! I set the product by the store front door, that day, because it had closed and there wasn't anyone to talk to about it. Days later, is today, and I attempted to speak to an employee about the food, in person, except it felt impossible to approach the employee woman working. Immediately after being greeted, it seemed like her phone got more attention than me, as she turned her back to me. She helped many guests in front of me without asking if I needed anything. Her vibe was extremely unwelcoming and uneasy. I was waiting to be helped, but I noticed all that was going on was a continuous rejection of me, while she was attempting to play it off like she wasn't. It was deceptive and confusing. It felt very off-putting and rude. I had shopped many times there before, what was different this time, I don't know. The employee woman kept seeming to make an effort to avoid looking at me, and only giving attention to other shoppers. It felt very evident to me that she had something strong against me. It didn't seem like I did anything to deserve such biased treatment. I don't appreciate having a police officer come up to me and ask me to leave. Zero customer service is what I experienced today. All I could do was wait, so I did, but no one ever came to help. Usually the energy there has allowed for me to walk in and to see one two or three employees working visibility to ask for help. This time when arriving there was no employee in sight for a couple minutes. If that woman had any patience or kindness or genuineness in her it would have been easy for her to say hi hey how can I help you? Or I'm sorry I see you've been standing there for a while what do you need? There was no love there, or life of humanity, from her or the other two guy employees, or any of the customers going in and out that seemed dead to what was around them, nor from the police officer who was just as bad, being selfish and careless. So I rebuke you and all associated with today's unjust behavior at that store. Y'all are insecure, scared, unprofessional, and immature. Y'all don't know what secure professional and mature looks like, and it scares you! Evil exposed. I don't recommend that anyone shops there. If you do I recommend you stop because of this review in the name of Jesus Christ. I recommend for anyone who wants the truth to come to me, James Dickson, and to discontinue going to any church because they are all of lies.

The best place to get fresh produce, locally raised meats, and great kitchen gourmet items.

Every time I buy watermelon ? here, it's always sweet and juicy! Tastes very good. The people that work here are always so nice and very helpful.

The best local market! A wide variety of fresh produce, delicious baked goods, local seafood and local ice cream! They also have an amazing deli that makes yummy sammies- great for grabbing and taking on the boat. Highly recommend this wonderful business.

Cool store, with a bunch of really good baked items, but a bit pricey. And a bunch of the plants in the greenhouse were dead.

Fresh Start is a quaint little, but fully stocked, market. The displays are eye catching with the best selection of produce and other groceries. The staff is always super helpful and friendly. Worth the drive even if you aren't in Rock Hall. Highly recommend to check out!

Fresh Start Food and Garden is the best of both worlds! The produce is absolutely fresh and beautiful. The prices are very reasonable. You will also find local meats and baked goods.Are you hungry? Grab a sandwich or sub! If you are looking for seasonal flowers you will find them here as well!This is a well laid out market with lots of fresh items including produce, vegetables, meats, dairy items, dry goods for your pantry and something to eat if your hungry. The staff is friendly and helpful.

I am a new resident of the Eastern Shore and this produce market is one of my new favorite places. The local peaches are lucious, as are the strawberries. All the fruits and vegetables are laid out in an appealing and sensible arrangement. I haven't bought a watermelon yet but definitely plan on it before the summer ends. The staff are great.

Staff was very nice. Veggies fresh and a few items not to be found otherwise. Definitely will shop there again.

The store looks nice however I was not pleased with the customer service. I purchased crab meat on July 1st, service was great, however when I got home I opened the crab meat and thought it smelled off, I put it in the refrigerator with the thought of checking it later to see if I thought differently. When I checked it later I still thought it didn't smell good, actually worse, so I put it in the freezer since I didn't want it to smell up my refrigerator. I called them on Tuesday, July 4th, and spoke to Kyle, was told to bring it back and whoever was working would handle it, so I drove the 50 miles round trip, wasn't sure if it was worth doing but I thought I am off work so I would make the trip. When I got there Kyle told me "it smells like crab meat is supposed to smell" end of conversation.... he refused to do anything else about it. I was so disappointed, I grew up in Annapolis, and have lived on the eastern shore for the last 25 years, I know what crab should smell like, it did NOT smell as crab meat is supposed to smell!! It smelled bad and was offputting!! Next time I am in Rock Hall and want to buy crab meat I will go to Ford's. I have never been disappointed there, I will not be going back to Fresh Start for anything.

We don’t get out to rock hall much, but when we do we always have to stop at Fresh Start! Grab sandwiches and fruit for a day on the water

Great local market with farm fresh produce. You can order a custom sandwich or pick up high quality meats vegetables or flowers. The local help is very friendly with excellent service.
