Authentic eatery with great food. Hainan Chicken Rice was good, but the rice itself could use a bit more aroma. Other dishes do surpass our expectations. Just be aware that service may not be quick when the place gets crowded.

I love this place because their steamed yu choy is yummy. They didn't use much oil to make it, which makes it healthy. The salt and pepper squid could use a little spicy powder to make it more flavorful. I'm looking forward to trying their wonton, char siew noodle, and milk tea next time.

My friend and I stopped by here for lunch today and I tried the Hainan chicken rice for the first time! Usually, I'm not the biggest fan of chicken but this one was so juicy and tender and went really well with the soy sauce and ginger scallion sauce. The Hong Kong milk tea is a classic but a bit watery. We also got their shrimp and corn congee to share. The corn was a bit rubbery so I would probably get a different kind of congee next time. Their menu is so extensive and looks so good, I can't wait to try more!

Love their Hainan Chicken Rice and Chicken Salty Fish Yun Yeung Rice Noodle and Singapore Rice Noodles. So delicious! The great potion of the food and prices is reasonable. Especially after the pandemic, everything went up. Highly recommend to everyone to try it, you will love it.

We got the hainan chicken and rice special with the green veggies and soup. The taste of the soup and the veggies was nothing special, but the set meal was a good value (I think?) and it kind of complimented the chicken. We also got some random dishes which were all okay but not amazing (stir fry shrimp and eggs which can't really go wrong, and the crepe rolls). We got both the hot and iced Hong Kong milk tea. The hot milk tea was only lukewarm.

Great “hole-in-the-wall” kind of place. Great cantonese food with reasonable prices and tasty. Everything we tried has been really good.

A bite of China has a special menu for those people who want to celebrate. It might be a little expensive but the foods are so excellent. You have to call in a few days ahead of the events.

After grocery shopping at New York Mart, we picked up carryout from A Bite of China. We got an order of Hainan Chicken with Vegtables and Braised Fish with Tofu. The Hainan Chicken with Vegtables was a lighter and healthier version of the dish. The taste resembled a Jade Empress Chicken with ginger-scallion oil and chili. The Braised Fish with Tofu was quite flavorful.

Have been here a few times and my impression is that the dishes are a bit hit or miss, so you need to know what to order. I would say the must haves are the Hainan Chicken Rice which is their speciality and my personal favorite is the Sweet and Sour Radish appetizer. On the flip side, there are a few dishes that I like to order from Chinese restaurants that I felt were a step below including the Spicy Wontons (红油抄手) and the stir fried string beans (四季豆). Still not bad by any means, but not as good as the same dish in other restaurants, and not as good as the other dishes I mentioned above.
