“Our visit to La Canela was truly phenomenal! The flavors of the food were simply incredible, and the portions were generous. I opted for the Seco de Cabrito (Lamb shank) while my wife savored the Arroz con Mariscos (seafood rice). To start, we enjoyed the Agua de Tigre appetizer, which set the tone for a fantastic dining experience. Every dish we tried was exceptional, leaving us thoroughly impressed and satisfied. It's safe to say that we will be returning to La Canela without hesitation to indulge in more of their delicious offerings. It was a culinary experience worth repeating!”

“Temari Japanese Cafe has become a pretty classic Rockville staple for delicious authentic Japanese food! It does fill up pretty fast on Friday and weekend evenings, so be sure to come early. On my most recent trip I got the Katsu Curry, one of my favorite Japanese comfort food dishes. The curry was thick, rich, and super delicious; bold with flavors, and had potatoes, onions, and beef chunks! Which in combination with the crispy pork katsu on top, its a great combination. They give you plenty of rice and curry too, I just wish there was a bit more katsu given the size of the rest of the plate. Service is really great too, servers are friendly and attentive. I've been here multiple times and it's always a pleasure to dine here.”

“A lovely Ethiopian restaurant with a cozy atmosphere, the owners are very welcoming. I've had the Kitfo here, some other beef dishes, and lamb. I haven't tried everything so far, but the Kitfo is definitely my favourite! I recommend getting it 100% raw - I haven't gotten sick from eating it and it goes to show you how clean the food prep and restaurant is. Also, the owners sell lentils and Injera chips which are AMAZING. Very well done!”

“The lunch specials are great! Had the twice cooked pork, the spicy ribs, and the cold spicy chicken dish ( I forgot the take pictures of all of them, which is usually a good sign). Not busy on a Friday and free parking in the building (for under 2 hours). I want to go back and try the fish dishes. Great service and very attentive waiters.”

“They have rebranded the restaurant as "Glenwood's". If you want to compare it to an existing chain, think Copper Canyon, as they are under the same corporate umbrella. This was my first visit here and I wasn't disappointed. Our server was very attentive and pleasant. The atmosphere is on the subdued side, even though most of the window views are of Wootton Parkway. The food was very good. The jumbo lump crab cakes were filling and meaty. I enjoyed their cocktails as well; just the right mixture. Highly recommended!”

We ordered online, and the gentleman who got our food for us when we arrived was so welcoming and kind. The food smelled amazing, and for about $16 per person, we both got more food than we could eat.We will definitely be returning. Such delicious fried chicken, it's really a stand-out place.”

“Wow! Was expecting just a take-out container with three pieces of relatively boring fish -- salmon, tuna, one piece of a white fish. Instead I got a whole interesting assortment, including octupus, what I think was abalone, and lots more. Not to mention that the salmon was terrific! I also got the spicy tuna appetizer, which was very interesting. I'll probably order something else next time (and there *will* be a next time, and a time after that!), but it was quite original and creative -- haven't had anything quite like that before. I did take-out, but the place had tokyo vibes - small, quiet, intense.”

“Vegan reviewer here! It was my first time to Yuan Fu Vegetarian and based on the reviews I was really excited to try them out. I went on a Friday night around 8 PM. From the outside it's nothing spectacular which is a great sign of authenticity. Right when you enter there's booths and tables with the counter at the back. They were about 1/4 occupied. I decided to seat myself in a booth and was greeted right away and handed a menu and was asked what I wanted to drink. I ended up deciding on the pecking duck which was the most recommended menu item and the vegetable chow foon since that dish is one of my favorites to order at any Asian restaurant. The both dishes came out about 10 minutes later. I had never had real pecking duck but wow this was delicious. The plum sauce really complimented the dish. Definitely order this dish. The chow foon was alright. Rice noodles really soak up any sauce you put on it so I was disappointed when there wasn't much flavor. The noodles were also pretty soft and I like them to have a bit of a bite. I asked for chili oil and soy sauce to jazz it up and it did the trick. I have a big appetite but had to ask for boxes. The service and food were great overall and I definitely plan on coming back and trying other dishes. One thing I will say is I asked for an itemized receipt and they had to handwrite it since they don't have a digital system. Both dishes came out to just under $35. Can't wait to come back!”

“This is a fun place for a celebration! We rented a private karaoke dining room on a weekday evening. The music was fun with a good selection of popular tunes, and the room was the perfect size for a small group - well equipped for both dining and partying. The food was both unique and delicious - we particularly recommend the Qiqihar beef. There was also an excellent selection of cocktails and flavored iced teas. Shout out to our server, Patrick, who took good care of us and had a great singing voice to boot!Kid-friendliness: Not recommended for small children, as the karaoke screens would often auto-play songs with less-than-optimal lyrics.”

“My husband and I ordered takeout for Cava Mezze and it was pretty straightforward. Very standard Mediterranean food, nothing too over the top or subpar. Everything was pretty good, I got a classic gyro and was not disappointed! My husband got the chicken skewers which were also well seasoned and yummy. My only qualm is the price point. The small container of feta dip alone was $11, and it just didn't seem like enough for that price despite it being tasty! Overall good food, but you can go to CAVA or any other standard Mediterranean place and pay half the price for a pretty similar experience!”

“We have been coming to Jin River for spicy Chinese foods since 2015. Great location, next to the block, right by Rockville town center area.Their dishes spices are not the spiciest but the SiChuan flavor is authentic. From meats to fish to all sorts of Chinese pastries are all very delicious. Also don’t forget to try their smoked duck meat, one of my favorite.The customer service has always being friendly and attentive. Pricing is reasonable.The restaurant has been here forever, but it does not seem like any renovation has been done on it, so looks dated both inside and outside.There are plenty parkings out front and around, BE AWARE, only the ones right in front of the restaurant with no pay parking signs are free.Others are all pay to park.Do recommend by @winedinenvacay”

“This is the closest place you'll get the Szechuan food in Maryland. I came to Bob's Shanghai and ordered a lot of the Szechuan based menu. First order the beef tendon which had plenty of heat, personally there was a too much black pepper for me. Still was plenty tasty with a gelatinous texture. Secondly had some of their soup dumplings and it was great. Not as much soup as I would like, but there was plenty of flavor. For those who don't know what soup dumplings are, soup dumplings are essentially dumplings which have soup in them. They come out piping hot so you really want to watch out before you bite into these. We also ordered the pork belly stir fried in vegetable and Szechuan sauce. This was the highlight of the whole trip. The stir-fry consisted of plenty of garlic, bamboo shoots, green pepper, spring onion, and Szechuan peppers. The fatty pork belly and combination of vegetables really gave a nice touch. Lastly I ordered the Dan Dan noodles which were terrible. They were dry tasteless and not worth getting. Considering Szechuan is one of my favorite food styles, I usually go to Philly in order to get my Szechuan fixing. For now this place will do the job”

“My family and I absolutely love Cooper's Hawk! This specific location is where we have embraced going out as a family and getting to know the staff has been a wonderful experience. We have completed many tasting as members, and really appreciate Mark and Taylor specifically, as they are knowledgeable and it is clear that they enjoy what they do. “The food was delicious, the timing of the food was good. The service was awesome. I wish the portions were bigger enough to take home, but this is Rockville and inflation going on. The vibes were well, mediocre. I just used to ordering biryani and getting like a box full. Maybe it's just depends on the location. Maybe I will try carry out once and check out the portions then. The Chicken Biryani. The portion for a Biryani is usually bigger. Those crunchy onions were a hit or miss. Raisins and nuts were unnecessary. Chicken, I prefer authentic and bone-in. Very small portion with small chicken pieces. The flavor was delicious so I commend them for that. I would've preffered the Indian salad.”

“We were in Gaithersburg for a soccer tournament with our son. We googled nearby Italian restaurants and stumbled upon Il pizzico. Being of Sicilian descent, I noticed they had some familiar foods you can’t just get anywhere and made a reservation. What a pleasant surprise! From the carpaccio and arancini appetizers, pasta and risotto to the gelato and cannoli desserts, everything was 5 stars. We will be back in the spring!”

The bacon cheeseburger and the turkey panini were exceptional, and our server was fantastic. We lingered for 2+ hours and never felt rushed. Parking is easy and the setting is attractive. The lunch crowd skews older together with groups of all kinds. Large roomy bar area where I noticed several people working on their computers so this may be a place to have lunch when you need to get out of the office but still do some work.”

The egg had the right amount of crips on it, the cheese was melty and tasty in every bite, and the croissant was flaky and delicious. I have grabbed lunch to go from here many times and have loved everything I have gotten except for one thing (Buffalo chicken grilled cheese). The host's name was Mercedes and she explained to me her food recommendations. She was very professional and smiled all the time. She also told me it is raining outside so I should take an umbrella. I didn't have too much of an expectation on coffee as this venue is located inside a hotel but this coffee was definitely the best coffee I've ever had in any hotels. (i stay in Marriott hotels more than 30 days a year) Very smooth and appropriately sweet. You are doing well and please keep it up! *French toast was amazing too.”

“Vegan reviewer here! I went to Joe's Noodle House for the first time on Easter Sunday for dinner seeing they had ample vegetarian options. I called ahead to ask about if they could make them vegan and the woman on the phone said yes, they could make options vegan free of meat, eggs and milk and they were closing early due to the holiday. I came in and the place was pretty empty. I was greeted and seated immediately. I asked about the vegetarian menu and she said they combined it with the normal menu and to look for items that contained the letter V next to it. As I was browsing I noticed several items that could be vegan but didn't have a V next to it. When it came time to ordering I asked about some of those options and my server said yes, those could be made vegan. I went with shredded potatoes, vegetable lo mein with tofu and mixed vegetables with tofu. The food came out pretty quick and the portions were huge and could easily serve 2-3 people. The lo mein was great! It was exactly what I wanted flavor wise. The shredded potato had some slices of green bell pepper was also delicious and tasted very similar to other Chinese restaurants I frequent. Usually the shredded potato has slices of jalapeño but I was not mad at their rendition. The mixed vegetables was my least favorite dish because the brown sauce the veggies were cooked in didn't have as much flavor as I'd hoped and reminded me of a watery gravy. It was the healthier option of the bunch which was alright but not the flavor I was hoping for. It was still good though. They use braised tofu in their dishes which adds a nice texture to the dish. A bowl of rice was also included with my meal. I ate until I was full but made no dent in the three plates and asked for boxes. They packed them up for me which I appreciated and my total was $47 before tip. I was in and out quickly and love that I'll have left overs for at least 2-3 meals. The food is authentic and I'll definitely be back.”

“Seated quickly at 5:30 pm on a Wednesday. Menus brought and ice water. We ordered and they brought warm fresh pita bread and Israeli salads to share. I ordered a rib eye medium done and it came out well done. Had to return it and when the new one came out it was rare. No happy medium. Green beans were delicious. Wife ordered Jerusalem mix with rice which was good. Service was slow, took a long time to get refills on water and more salads! Asked for a to go box and waitress never brought it, I went to the kitchen to ask for one. Food is good but slow service!”

For the soup base I highly recommend the chicken soup base. This is the best chicken soup I've had in the area! I don't recommend the spicy flavors as it really wasn't spicy nor had as much butter flavor. Even though I'm a fan of spicy hot pot, I'd come here just for the chicken broth, it is that good! I definitely recommend getting the skewers AYCE combo -- the lamb and beef skewers are sooo good! It's only $5 extra for dinner and you literally recoup it with 3 orders of skewers. They come out quick and is great to chew on while waiting for the hotpot items to cook! 5/5 for food and ambience (the place is relatively new and can comfortably seat your group without feeling crowded.”

The seasoning and flavor of the variety dishes we order has us still craving for more. The young lady who was our waitress is pleasant, respectful professional, courtesy, patient, knowledgeable about the variety of dishes when we asked questions. Served us with a smile. “This was a very nice find and value for price. We found this little place after visiting the P.O. in the strip of stores off Randolph Rd and took a chance. We were both happy with our quesadillas and tacos. The meat was generous and tasty. The soft corn tacos seemed freshly cooked - each meat was wrapped in two layers so if you separate them you actually have two tacos of each kind if meat! We were filled with half the meal and had the rest for dinner, where I prepared a fresh avocado, tomato and sweet onion mix as a topping. I am interested to return and try more dishes here as I feel an authenticity -- it feels they prepare dishes as Latina eat it, and not drowned in other flavors, I.e. good meats and good wraps (salsa in the side). Very friendly service. Eat-in area and ample free parking in the big lot.”

“SO. GOOD. Amazing portions for the prices, everything tasted fresh, flavorful, and balanced, and I enjoyed the ambience of the restaurant. Loved every single dish, and we crushed all the banchan. Everyone here was also really friendly and attentive. We got the Korean pancake as an appetizer; my husband ordered the spicy chicken bulgogi; and I got the hot beef bibimbap. Cannot recommend this place enough. A little hidden Korean gem in Rockville!”

“I'm lucky enough to have a few different Safeway stores close to me. I stopped off at this location in Kings Farm because it was closest to another store I had to go to. This location has plenty of parking and multiple entrances so it's easy to get in and out of. Overall, this store is good. It's easy to shop at this location. They've got friendly and helpful staff. I can usually find what I want here. The deli is good. Although their fried chicken at this location isn't so great. The breading on the fried chicken is too thick/heavy and hard. Fried chicken at the Fallsgrove location is 1000% better. Last visit had plenty of produce, dairy and meat/seafood. I know a few other stores are having supply chain issues, but most of the Safeways I've been to have been okay so far.”

“This seems to be a "real Korean" restaurant. There is a menu full of interesting choices. There is a lot of food with whatever option you choose. I went for lunch. There was a "lunch special." But, there wasn't anything special about the lunch menu prices. It was priced like any of the dishes on the regular menu. The service was nothing special as well. There were some older ladies working there who greeted me enthusiastically. But, they mostly disappeared after that. I reviewed the menu and waited longer than I wanted to place my order. I kept it simple with a Bibimbap. I've had many in my life. This one was OK. I've had better. It came with a bowl of rice and four (4) Banchan. Banchan are side dishes of vegetables. Those were good. I like the idea of Banchan. I ate my food. No one came to ask me if it was good, or if I needed anything. I finished and waited for too long for the bill. Finally, I stood up and signaled to one of the ladies. I didn't want to wait any longer. I got my coat and walked over to the cash register. I really did not think that a tip was deserved. I would go back to try some other things.”

“We went for dinner and arrived before 6 pm, so it was not busy at all. The food was delicious, perfectly seasoned and cooked. Whoever sets the menu and cooks knows flavor and balance, no notes on the food. The kitchen smashed it. The service was slow, especially because the restaurant was not busy. But there was training going on and it didn't negatively affect our meal. The only advice I can offer to folks heading in for a meal is that if you go when you are very hungry, order appetizers in addition to your entree because the portions are on the modest side. But I can't believe, based on how well cooked our meals were, that you won't absolutely enjoy whatever you order.***I am updating this review because I went back for lunch with a friend, and the food came out completely unseasoned, no salt, no spice, nothing. A little quality control in the kitchen is needed because our dinners the other night were perfect, but lunch today was really disappointing.”

“This Matchbox in Rockville is great! It is supper nice inside and lots of space for bigger parties. It is a great spot for friends and family. They have outdoor seating by the fire which is a plus. The service was super quick. Since it was only two of us we were able to get seated right away and our waiter was very attentive. We had order the Pepperoni pizza and added sausage and we had also ordered the Bacon Bianca. Both were super delicious!! They added a lot of toppings and both pizza were bursting with flavor. The Bianca was also one of our favorite's! It was amazing! Highly recommend both pizzas if you want a good pizza at a sit down restaurant or even to go. I definitely recommend this place and we will definitely be back!”

“My daughter, and I stopped by Leb Tav for dinner. I ordered the Shawarma platter, and my daughter ordered hummus and the falafel basket. I'm used to fresh Middle Eastern, cuisine, and bluntly, expected to be slightly disappointed. I'm very happy to say that the food was much better than expected. The platter was fine, the falafel was fresh, and the pita was hot from the oven. There was a slight error in that the Shawarma I wanted was lamb, and I was given chicken, but since I didn't specify when ordering, I don't feel it was the restaurants fault. The best thing about the restaurant was not the food, but the attitude of the lady taking the order. She was professional, helpful, and very positive.Even my daughter commented on her pleasant nature, and that we should have tried this restaurant before now. I would rate the food, a four out of five, and the service of five out of five.”
