“Lunch with small group on a quiet winter weekday no one else in the place. My steakhouse burger was nicely cooked but non-memberable. The place did provide me with the option for a side salad instead of fries, which was made with fresh greens and very tasty. My friend was able to get her burger on gluten-free bread, and they nicely put her accompanying fries on a separate plate for the rest of us to nosh on.“

“Everything was great except I still cannot understand why I had been told for 3 days by BOTH Open Table AND Tower Oaks Lodge insisted to me that that we could not have a reservation for 6 anytime except 11am or 3pm. Yet how could that be when the entire time we were there (11am - 1pm) the tables in all 3 dining rooms and the bar were hardly 50% full. How could that be?“

The Happy Hour, which starts at 1PM (yes, you read that correctly) has insanely low prices, and the "pour" on both glasses of wine and cocktails are unmatched. Great ambience, clean as a whistle, a ton of regulars at the bar and a Touchtunes jukebox on the wall to bring your own soundtrack with you. What's not to LOVE about this place? 🍷🍹🥂🍻🦀“

“The sushi at Takumi Japanese Bistro & Bar was fresh and nicely prepared. The salmon nigiri had a clean flavor, and the spicy tuna roll had just enough heat without being buried in sauce. The chicken gyoza was another good choice, with crisp bottoms and a savory filling. I liked that the menu had more than just sushi, so there were plenty of options for the table. Service was pleasant, although things slowed down a little once the restaurant became busier. Overall, a satisfying Japanese meal in Bethesda.“

Even the cappaccino was delicious, very smooth, no bitterness and taste great with dessert! The server, Baris, was attentive, friendly and did a great job taking care of us. Today J the creator made me two beautiful drinks 1 the blueberry mocktail and Tiramisu Cocktail that was not only well engineered but the taste was amazing! So now this is one of my favorite Bars. They have comedy night on Wednesdays and Karaoke Tuesdays, so I am about to enjoy a show for only $5 that include a drink Ha!“

“Malaysian restaurants are hard to come by so when we came across the Satay Club on our trip to Washington, we just had to try their chicken satay with peanut sauce, roti canai and char kway teow. “I love this place! They have a bunch of local and craft beers on tap and one of the best selections of beers for retail in the area. If there is a beer you are looking for but can’t find, as long as the county sticks it, Ashish (the fabulous, friendly owner) will order it. The store is very clean and bright, I never have trouble finding parking, and the prices are on par with other stores. In the wine side of things, there is a good variety and prices seem a little lower than other area stores.“

I had the quesadilla, and my friend got the California burrito—which comes loaded with fries inside and was honestly really good and filling. One thing I really appreciated was that they offer non-alcoholic slushies. I tried the guava one and it was so good, super refreshing and definitely a standout. I was a little surprised they don’t offer tacos, but the menu still has great options that hit the spot. The food, staff, and overall vibe were all on point—friendly service and a chill atmosphere that makes you want to stay a little longer than planned. Only heads-up is parking can be a bit tricky on busier days, so plan accordingly. Overall, a great spot I’d definitely come back to.“

“My husband and I decided to stay here overnight during our drive home from a beach vacation. I am covered in mosquito bites and am just miserable. I couldn’t wait to take a shower. Well let me tell you, I have NEVER taken a shower as good as the shower I just took in this hotel. It scratched every mosquito bite on my body simultaneously and felt so amazing. The provided toiletries smell like I just stepped out of a spa. The towel was fluffy but not linty. The water pressure was immaculate. The temperature was consistent and easy to set to the perfect amount of hotness. And my skin doesn’t feel like it’s been stripped of all of its moisture like it does after a shower at most hotels. I will only stay at this chain from now on if they’re all like this. I need to know how to get this at home. I’m serious. Best shower of my life.“
