Buffalo things were very good, beer selection is massive, but the highlight was the burger.

“We had our wedding at the Commentary on 5/31/25 and we could not be more thrilled with our experience. Olivia Martel and Chef Fran were PHENOMENAL to work with. Anything we wanted, we got. We wanted a low key, chill wedding, and decided on stations and the pasta bar with a plethora of appetizers and the execution was a 10/10. We loved having the whole bar and restaurant to ourselves in Ballston and welcoming guests from across the country and being in the Commentary’s/Westin’s care. They took really great care of us and we couldn’t be more grateful for the most beautiful day of our lives.“

“The sushi at Takumi Japanese Bistro & Bar was fresh and nicely prepared. The salmon nigiri had a clean flavor, and the spicy tuna roll had just enough heat without being buried in sauce. The chicken gyoza was another good choice, with crisp bottoms and a savory filling. I liked that the menu had more than just sushi, so there were plenty of options for the table. Service was pleasant, although things slowed down a little once the restaurant became busier. Overall, a satisfying Japanese meal in Bethesda.“

“Great atmoshere, high-end stylish dining room, comfortable seating. The salmon dish was delicious and a large portion. The spinach rice side dish was so delicious! The Ravini Politiko, coconut cake was the best I ever ate! The Thalissina, seafood pasta had plenty of seafood in it and delicious. Even the cappaccino was delicious, very smooth, no bitterness and taste great with dessert! The server, Baris, was attentive, friendly and did a great job taking care of us. Great place to eat, homemade dishes and desserts! Highly recommend it. I will be back!“

“I love this place! They have a bunch of local and craft beers on tap and one of the best selections of beers for retail in the area. If there is a beer you are looking for but can’t find, as long as the county sticks it, Ashish (the fabulous, friendly owner) will order it. The store is very clean and bright, I never have trouble finding parking, and the prices are on par with other stores. In the wine side of things, there is a good variety and prices seem a little lower than other area stores.“

“For many years I’ve gone to Cowboy Cafe for dinner….nachos, burgers, tater tots, etc. everything on the menu is so good, every single time. However, for the first time I went there for breakfast. It was so good I had to review it. The pancake, the fruit plate, the chicken bacon hash!!! My gosh, everything was so delicious and wonderfully plated. I’m still happy from that meal. The place did provide me with the option for a side salad instead of fries, which was made with fresh greens and very tasty. My friend was able to get her burger on gluten-free bread, and they nicely put her accompanying fries on a separate plate for the rest of us to nosh on.“
