Tried to order carryout from the 3-coure meal menu. Told that the items on the 3 course meal were not there. Tried to order filet of sole and salada da Horta. Seemed like bait and switch
The Arroz Valenciana here is a dish I keep finding reasons to order. It's a rice course that holds its own as the focus of the meal rather than as a side component. The flavors are developed over time and the kitchen takes that time.
The Tavira experience at its best is a quiet evening in the candlelit room with a well-chosen glass of Portuguese wine and food that has been prepared with genuine care. Not flashy. Not trendy. Just a good restaurant doing its thing well.
