Taipei Cafe Reviews
Closest Taiwan food I can find, not bad overall, but don’t expect it to be as good as in Taiwan
Authentic food from Taiwan is served in large portions intended for family-style meals.
We had a whole steamed fish, beef with greens, oyster vermicelli, and shaved ice (the standard size was more than enough to share between 3 people). All of it was delicious.

Taipei Cafe is an authentic Taiwanese restaurant that serves a variety of traditional dishes. The menu features unique Taiwanese specialties that are hard to find elsewhere in the US. Diners can enjoy dishes such as Four-herb soup, Crispy Stinky Tofu, Oyster Pancake, Taiwanese-style Meat Pie, Fried chicken with salt & pepper, and Pork Xiao Long Bao. The food is of high quality, made with the freshest ingredients, and customers have praised the generous portions and reasonable prices. Favorites like the famous oyster pancakes, with huge and sweet oysters, and the meat pie, known for its tender, juicy pork chunks and delicious sauce, receive high praise. The service is nice and friendly, with attentive staff ensuring a pleasant dining experience. The decor is tastefully done, adding to the inviting atmosphere. While the restaurant may be a bit isolated, it is worth a visit for those looking to try authentic Taiwanese cuisine. The place can accommodate big groups and offers boba, a staple of Taiwanese culture. The Taiwanese fried chicken is a must-try, and the beef noodle soup, with its rich yet balanced broth and hearty chunks of beef shank, is mildly spicy but tolerable for those who don't like spice. Overall, Taipei Cafe is a great option for those seeking Taiwanese classics, and many customers express their love for the place and plan to return.
