Matchbox has an open airy feel inside which is perfect if you want to eat with physical separation. Service is hit or miss but the food and drinks are delicious. Most recently I enjoyed salad pizza and dessert. The S’mores dessert looked amazing and was mostly toasted marshmallows. The sugar donuts were delicious ?
The restaurant is huge & has a great vibe. There were only three tables seated when we arrived for brunch yet they brought us the worst table in the entire place. Upstairs, in a corner, right up against the server station. 40 open tables & that's where you seat us?! Shameful. Ordered sausage patties - was brought links (they ran out of patties so substituted without checking first). They were flavorless. Didn't even eat them. This Matchbox in Rockville is great! It is supper nice inside and lots of space for bigger parties. It is a great spot for friends and family. They have outdoor seating by the fire which is a plus. The service was super quick. Since it was only two of us we were able to get seated right away and our waiter was very attentive.
