It’s hard to find a good Guatemalan spot with good food. This place was definitely on point. Will definitely go again
Wilmer the owners always has a good hospitality and service, food was great 10/10, I’m personally Guatemalan and I can is super authentic.
If you’re looking for authentic Guatemalan food in the Rockville area, this place is worth a visit. Every dish we tried was fresh, flavorful, and made with care. From the chuchitos, shucos, tostadas, tamales, enchiladas, and garnachas to the perfectly grilled churrasco, every bite reminded us of home. ANITA'S Restaurant is a great new place offering delicious, nutritious, and filling food. It's described as the best deal in town, providing a warming experience for the heart, soul, body, and mind. The restaurant features delicious dishes, friendly service, and a selection of flags and artwork adorning the eating area. Unlike some newer establishments with screens, ANITA'S is 100% human, allowing for personal interaction. They offer a QR code menu, and past orders may even be remembered.
The food has been consistently excellent, with nothing disappointing. The plain baleada is a highly anticipated item, and the baleada simple is noted as excellent, super-duper filling, and more than one. Drinks are also great, with tamarindo being a favorite. The chips are light, healthy, wholesome, and not greasy. ANITA'S is recommended for those who enjoy travelling and feeling like they are stepping into another world, offering a culinary trip to Guatemala. It's a genuine place with a nice proprietor, and a keeper that deserves business to succeed for a long time. It's a welcome addition, especially as there are not many Guatemalan restaurants in the area.
