It was my first time eating here, and I'm not sure if they had a miscommunication on who was serving which table, or what... but it took 30 minutes for anyone to take our order. We arrived at 4 and left at 6 because it took so long for everything to come out. They also didn't bring us any pita while we waited. Some other tables took so long to recieve service that they just left. I thought the food was fine, but my simbling's rice came out cold. Additionally, while the hummus is labeled gluten free, they didn't bring out gf options to dip in the hummus until we asked. We also had to remind them about the drinks we ordered. We wanted dessert, but we decided against ordering it because we worried it might take another hour. The servers were nice, but it seems like the place may have just been disorganized?

PROS * Good restaurant from all aspects- it is pleasant to dine there * Very good hot grilled meats- that's the most important * Presented in pleasant manner and appearance * Very good quick friendly and helpful service * The food is brought to you in a short period of time * The physical plant of the place is very nice- big large spacious and appealing and pleasant and relaxing- not crowded nor stuffed * This allows the room to be quiet and not noisy- a big benefit * The prices are reasonable and not outrageous * Since it is in the shopping center, there is abundant free parking * It is next to a good sized Jewish kosher grocery store * It has the kosher supervision of the Washington DC area CONS * The place is a store front in a shopping center from 1960s “I VISITED THIS PLACE”… ... because we again had business in the area and we had so enjoyed the place on our previous visit. We parked in the big parking lot and entered the unassuming store front view restaurant. The inside is pleasant and inviting. We were greeted immediately and politely and immediately escorted to the table. The place was relatively empty at our mid afternoon surprise unscheduled visit. The place is big, quiet, unassuming, pleasantly laid out, unassuming and appealing. It feels relaxing to enter the place. We were seating on high stools at a raised table (I would have referred regular tables as per our previous visit, but not a big deal- not a "deal breaker"). The wait staff is quite and unassuming, attentive and helpful and stay in the background but immediately available- the food comes and is delivered quickly. The food is meaty grill- presented in a very appealing pleasant manner- hot and juicy and extremely tasty. The meat is seasoned in a very nice way also. The vegetable side dishes are very good too.t This is truly classic Israeli. We totally enjoyed our experience. WAS IT WORTH THE COST? Yes WOULD “I VISIT THIS PLACE AGAIN”? Yes- hey- that's what I did, and I would do it again (if and when I'm in the area). ADVICE from IVTP For sure go and visit and eat and enjoy

I don't like leaving bad reviews for jewish places. However. Good food. Atrocious service. Took 10+ minutes after being seated until the waiter finally came to take our order. Then it took well over 30 minutes for the food to come out. I noticed some of the fries were missing. Was told it'll be coming soon. 15 minutes later the waiter stopped by and asked if we got the other fries. When I said no it was finally brought out. I asked a waiter for the check. 5+ minutes go by before another waiter stops by and I asked again for the check.
The excuse for all that was a big party came in before us. I'm sorry. That's no excuse. You could have told us the food will be awhile as a result. We were never told that or given any updates what was going on. All the other mess ups are unexcusable.
