I’m Vietnamese and grew up eating banh mi from Eden Center all my life. Banh mi is one of my favorite Vietnamese foods, and I’m extremely picky about them. I’ve never found a Maryland spot that was good until Ba Le opened. Their #1 Special is my go-to and I ask for extra mayo. The bread is perfectly crackly on the outside and soft inside. Perfect ratio of meat & pate. Pickled veggies are crunchy, a lil vinegary, and a lil sweet…SO good! And the customer service is...
I ordered the basa fish sandwich. I assumed it would be a typical banh mi.
The bread was okay, a bit crispy, which was nice, but lacking texture as a good banh mi would have, as in a baguette.
The fish was fine; no complaints. What was weird was the pickled vegetables, something I like very much on a banh mi, but these were super sweet, so I didn’t enjoy them, at all. It was like having sugar on a sandwich. 😖

Wasn't impressed with the foods, the sandwich looked messy when I opened it up, fermented pork had to much red color in it and the smoothie had no taste. Wouldn't go back!
