My husband and I ordered takeout for Cava Mezze and it was pretty straightforward. Very standard Mediterranean food, nothing too over the top or subpar. Everything was pretty good, I got a classic gyro and was not disappointed! My husband got the chicken skewers which were also well seasoned and yummy. My only qualm is the price point. The small container of feta dip alone was $11, and it just didn't seem like enough for that price despite it being tasty! Overall good food, but you can go to CAVA or any other standard Mediterranean place and pay half the price for a pretty similar experience!

Definitely the best place around for Mediterranean cuisine. A great value in today's economy with fabulous food. Outstanding service, our server was one of the best I've ever had. I can't remember the last time I was so satisfied about a meal.

The food was alright. But the service was not great. We ordered Togo lunch. We ended up with our meals and no utensils or napkins.

Cava Mezze is delicious and never disappoints! The saganaki experience is always hot and scrumptious! The scallop risotto is superb! The service was great. The lighting is dim so remember your readers and phone flashlight.

Went for an early dinner and everything was great!! Superbly cooked from those awesome Hush Puppies to the amazing French Toast dessert! Oh and yes we had chicken souvlaki and meatballs in between. It's a gem of a small restaurant right in the Shady Grove campus vicinity. Highly recommend!!

It was my wife my first visit. The restaurant is small and crowded, however the service and our food choice was really good. We enjoyed the lamb chops over fries, hummus, and the brussel sprouts. We learned after ordering that the servings are small and that the kitchen does not have a heat lamp, so the food is brought to the table when it is ready and not all at once. Expect members of your dining party to be eating at different times. The small portions worked for us, since we were eating around 8 PM EST.
Food was good, mimosas strong but service was SLOW SLOW SLOW. Our waiter was nice at first but then he stopped checking on us, took at least 30 mins between each course and mimosas were not flowing. If it weren't for the other servers and manager (i think) who came and refilled our waters, asked if we were okay, i would have been very very disappointed. It was my sisters bday too? Will go to Olney location from now on..
Brunch with some new friends.Menu options were great ?! Food was good. Making a few substitutes on a dish was encouraged.Services was great ? ! Atmosphere was nice. Bathrooms were clean(you could smell the clorox)?. Overall it was great first time experience at this reaturant.

We went out for our anniversary and the staff was amazing. We received a handwritten congratulatory note as well as a free dessert for the night. We will definitely be coming again!
I've been coming to Cava Mezza since it opened in Rockville. It's one of my favorites. I've recommended and introduced dozens of people who have gone on to become regulars and raving fans as well. The food is always delicious and consistent. Needless to say, I really like this restaurant and; particularly this location. However, my experience was heightened even further last night due to the exceptional service I received. My server Affan was a delight. He was personable, communicative, attentive, and made me feel even more at home at Cava than I already feel. What impressed me the most was his knowledge of and passion for the food. When asked questions about the menu, he would speak joyously of his favorite dishes and was able to provide the subtle details of its preparation. When I learned they were out of one of my favorite dishes (potatoes terrine) I was pretty disappointed as it's only recently returned to the menu. Affan explained exactly why it was unavailable and provided a date to expect it back. At one point we both talked excitedly about the French toast dessert for which we both share an affinity (highly recommend to anyone reading this btw). In summary: great food, as always; looking forward to returning soon for my terrine...and give Affan the best sections and shifts. He deserves it!
