Dear Diary - how can you not like kbbq? Is this a place to try? Definitely. They have all you can eat and/or A la carte. If you don't think you can easily go through 'all you can eat', it's ok to A le carte yourself instead; no shame in that. Their brisket and short ribs (bone or boneless) are amazing. I would say this place is a bit more premium, and you definitely pay for it.

Around 2 o'clock, I went to eat with my child and ordered a dine-in for 2 people chadol combo, cold noodles, a takeout kimchi pancake, and short rib soup. My server only placed the meat on the grill and never flipped or cut it. It's fine because I can do that myself. But can I tip less in this case? Also, they seemed to forget my takeout order. When we finished eating and asked for the bill, they said the takeout order was still being prepared and asked us to wait. Later, they brought the kimchi pancake in a container for takeout to my table... and then they brought the boiling short rib soup in a pot and told us to wait for it to cool down a bit. They gave me two small soup bowls to fill, but they didn't give me a ladle, so I had to ask for one, along with a plastic bag and rice. Well, it's okay. The meat was delicious. But I don't think I'll do takeout orders again. These photos aren't of leftovers; they're of the takeout food I received.

Update 3/2024 upgrade to 4.5 star.Went there again this week, had a much better time, the waiter (Ryan) was very attentive n accommodating. They have very quality food there. You have to try the marinated short ribs and spicy pork belly ?..From 2023Again, your server will literally make or break your dining experience. I expected more for a $50+ per person restaurant.We were sitting at the table for 30 to 40 minutes. There was no service, no water, no small dishes of Korean snacks. Finally the white young waiter came to a table and asked for drinks orders. Again, it took 10 minutes before he returned with drinks. He was just really slow. I complained to him that we wait a long time before getting any service. He said he usually wait for all people to show up before serving. We had nine people and seven of us were sitting there already. We had nothing. Not even water. I again asked him for the small dishes of snacks because we were hungry sitting there for a while. He said he usually served those with dinner. I've been to Korean restaurants before - many many times. I was pretty upset by then. I told him we waited a long time about 30 to 40 minutes and then he responded "that's interesting". I was not expecting this particular answer. I was expecting. "So sorry for your wait the restaurant was very busy.. " Something like that. Simple. I think he sensed my anger developing. My family was stopping me from getting more upset. Apparently this waiter does not believe me . Owner, go ahead and check the videos. See how long we were sitting there.Luckily another waiter came and service us after that, this new waiter was a thousand times better. He was very fast and very polite. The food was decent but this experience still left a bad taste in my mouth.My zero star service rating was for the first waiter only. The second waiter really save this dining experience.
I have only had amazing times at Chadol. The drinks? Amazing. The meats? Top quality. The ambiance also is beautiful. I rate this as my favorite restaurant. Best Korean bbq in Maryland. ? Make sure you end your night with the barley tea. I even called with a weird question about where to get barley tea and Leo was very helpful.. I still don’t know where to get it. Thank you ??
