After my friend spotted the new Dolan Uyghur in downtown Rockville, we decided to give it a try. The restaurant offers 90 minutes of free parking, which is very convenient.
Unfortunately, our meal was a mixed experience; while most dishes lacked depth and seasoning, the lamb kebab was excellent
-incredibly tender and well-spiced.

Very authentic and delicious! The staff is actually Uyghur we drove 3 hours to come here.
I’ve lived in China, I’ve had food in Urumqi Xinjiang, Beijing and Chongqing and even had Chinese food in Malaysia, and I was very excited to go and have this Halal Xinjiang Uyghur food at Dolan but I was absolutely heartbroken when I experienced that the taste was far from Chinese. The eggplant was the closest thing to the Chinese food I had there. The Signature Rice noodles were abysmal, too much salt, I even complained and the server just said that your feedback will be delivered to the Chef, I mean dude, that doesn’t solve my problem, I’m paying for this inconsistent poisonously salty dish which I cannot even eat! I know Piter Manta (dumplings) are supposed to be lamby and have that gamey lamb smell, but man here the smell was intense. I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone, in Urumqi they asked us if we wanted really smelly one or less smell, obviously my preference is less smell! They should have chicken, beef and shrimp dumplings with no smell too. The Eggplant was the star of the show but sadly I’m not coming back here. Even the Chilli oil was bland with no real kick or flavoring. I love Chinese food but sadly this didn’t fit the bill!

I recently visited this restaurant, and it turned out to be a wonderful dining experience. The moment you walk in, the warm ambiance and inviting décor set the mood perfectly. The staff was attentive, welcoming, and knowledgeable about the menu, which made ordering smooth and enjoyable.
The food was the beautifully presented and full of flavor. We enjoyed the dishes, which were cooked to perfection and seasoned just right. Highly recommend to everyone.

Very nice vibe, food was decent, we had the big plate chicken , doshnan, cucumber and chicken salad. The food was very decent, generous portion on the cucumber. The big plate chicken had great presentation but a little lacking on the flavor, it was also $59.99. I really feel the price was too much, down the street 3 min walk, mala canteen sells their big plate chicken for $24.99, same portions… how much is chicken and noodle? Anyway, definitely a restaurant worth trying, I am being too picky, lots to like here.
