I paid $30 for a meal that is tasteless no seasonings WHATSOEVER! I was also given a choice of a side to which I ordered the Cesar salad….when I came to pick up my food, I immediately checked my salad because I requested extra dressing on the side (which was included) and extra croutons (there were none) just lettuce, no parm cheese…. Just lettuce and my dressings smh the waiter knew that’s what I ordered but still gave me my order.
Now on to the entree. This supposed to be an Italian restaurant and it has failed me miserably! I could have made this myself. The chicken breast is BLAND!!! not even salt. Very skimpy on the Alfredo sauce and the crab meat is sparse, but ok. I am EXTREMELY dissatisfied and disappointed with my meal! Hospital food taste much better. I have eaten at Fontina Grille on several occasions but this is by far worst I have ever tasted. A waste of $30 bucks will not return ever!
If I wanted to cook, o would have and now maybe I should have😡😡😡😡

The mussels used to be fluffy and big. Last night the mussels are kind of shrunk and small. The service is little bit slow to bring out the foods and the foods are not hot.

Fontina is an excellent Italian restaurant with a large menu selection. The white pizza is among the best in the area. Can be noisy at peak dinner hours but the service is superb and friendly. The arrabiata here is fiery and the best I have had in any restaurant in the DMV. We'll be following Fontina to it's new location.

The Fontina White pizza was absolutely delicious. The crust was perfectly crispy and the cheese toppings with the luscious clumps of melted gongozola cheese.....ummmm! And for dessert, the blackout chocolate cake, was just a dream of moist heavenly chocolate yumminess.
I had their alfredo and chicken marsala, they were so good, the salmon was so soft and good, good quality of food, pizzas tasted good. Cute Italian restaurant staff were accommodating.Good italian place.

Great atmosphere and plenty of seating. Melissa is a wonderful server- so attentive! Took friends here and they loved it. Both had pizza and blackened chicken alfredo. I get the shrimp and crab aurora but i switch out the aurora sauce for alfredo-- freakin amazing. We had the bomba dessert too and was enough to share;) Has a chocolate shell that will take you back to your childhood along with good ol' vanilla and chocolate ice cream. Even a surprise cherry inside the dessert. Go Now friends. You won't be disappointed! Also the foccacia in the bread basket with the olive oil/parm is delicious. Sorry no pix- we had just gone apple picking and we were all so hungry! lol

We are reasonably frequent patrons of Fontina Grille and were very pleased to learn that, contrary to some reports, they are not closing during the build out of their new location.

This is the fourth time I've been to this restaurant. I've only eaten in the dining area once because the service is terrible, but the food is decent. I always try to order takeout. This last time I ordered lasagna and chicken marsala. When we tried it, it had a strange taste. Sadly, I got food poisoning from this meal(undercooked chicken). It's not the first time. My husband had previously ordered chicken parmesan and was unable to work for a week because his intestinal flora was destroyed (thanks for the week off), first we thought could have been something else. After this, I called to inform them of what had happened, i didnt want any refund just to tell them to be more careful. The manager, Carlos, simply ignored everything I said and put me on hold. He never returned my call. It is very unfortunate what has been happening lately at this restaurant.
