Grandma's Ice Cream and Waffles

Excellent waffle desserts and milkshakes with homemade vegan whipped cream. The vegan options for savoury are mostly stuff you could get at the grocery store but I still appreciate it being available, and it is made better by the fresh waffles.

We were in the mood for some dessert and came across Grandma's Ice Cream and Waffles. I had the vegan chocolate milk shake and my friend had the vegan waffle ice cream...all topped with vegan cream. No question a 10 out of 10. So many vegan options: breakfast, lunch/dinner and desserts. Now one of my go to restaurants. Big Bruno

Dropped by this place while in Rockville. It's located in an industrial park, but it's worth searching for. There is plenty of seating, so you won't have to worry about dining-in. They offer a great selection of vegan options—waffles with sausage, hot wings, and the like. But what really impresses is that they don't just give you vegan food—they make sure you have the whole experience. Too often, places with ‘vegan options’ leave out the good stuff, like vegan cheese or whipped cream, so you’re stuck with a bare-bones version of a meal. Not here. They go all out to make sure vegans aren’t getting anything less than anyone else, and that effort really deserves support. Aside from all this, the biggest plus is the woman who operates it—she's just an amazing individual. All the best to her with all the success she deserves!

They were very friendly. Unfortunately, The food was not good. It was freezer food they heated up essentially. I got the breakfast wrap. It was warmed vegan sausage and just egg, with cold lettuce and cold cheese. My partner got the chicken and waffleThe fries were stale. We didn’t try the desserts. The restaurant would benefit from making food from scratch. #Veganuary

We stopped on our way through to Virginia. Got the Peaches n Cream Waffle, Waffle Breakfast Sandwich, and Mac n Cheese all vegan. Staff were friendly and helpful. Lots of options.

Stopped here because of the reviews and agree that it’s a keeper. Very vegan friendly-an oasis in this immediate area. Waffles, drummies, service, all top quality!

We drove 3 hours to spend the week in DC. We ate here first before checking into our hotel. they have an abundance of vegan options and almost everything non-vegan can be substituted for vegan equivalents. the staff is incredible and friendly. would love to come back!

Enjoyable place, easy parking, staff very friendly, vegan food delicious. I only wish they would go cruelty-free.

Stopped in here on a whim when my wife said she wanted dessert. Excellent choice. The Nutella waffle was fantastic, and the soft serve ice cream was a nice addition. Highly recommend stopping by.

"Grandma" is actually the one who greets you, takes the order and brings it to your table. The atmosphere is warm, welcoming and friendly. The food is freshly prepared and very good. I highly recommend "Grandma's Ice Cream and Waffles".

Small cute cafe that has multiple vegan waffles, sandwiches/wraps, and ice cream options.

Great spot with friendly staff, plenty of parking, and clean throughout- even the restrooms. Dishes are prepared to order, so you can get what you want prepared the way you want it without a hassle
