Really good quality, chef prepared food. The salmon and the seafood pasta were delicious. But everything is delicious there.

After starting yelping with two really bad 1-star reviews, I decided I needed to balance things by reviewing our favorite places - the ones that are utterly fine and utterly reliable without breaking the bank, the ones that don't stick you by the swinging kitchen door if you don't look like you're a rich lawyer or lobbyist. Il Pizzico doesn't really need my glowing review, but here it is anyway. Lurking in an unassuming shopping strip, it churns out consistently high-quality Northern Italian cuisine, including many house-made pasta options, in pleasant, upholstered surroundings, with decent service and usually not too much noise so you can hold a conversation, at entirely reasonable prices - charging less for ravioli (for ex.) than many far less wonderful eateries. LOVE the ravioli and the tiramisu is also excellent. Used to be, they didn't take reservations and if you got there after 5 pm you'd have to stand around watching other people enjoying their meals. But since the pandemic, reservations are required - SO much better! My sole complaint is how far it is from us! But the lucky folks in upper NW MoCo can easily get there.

I called multiple times to place an order for pick up but no answer. No biggie. Then went there to place in person only to be told by the host to place it online, something to the tune of “We operate differently here”. Quite the attitude and arrogance but then again, no biggie. Then I ordered online only to get an error message it couldn’t processed on certain days….The host was not empathetic at all and had the worst of attitude. No place has the right to act this way, especially for an Italian food in the Maryland suburbs. I grew up in Jersey with truly authentic Italian food from folks who treated you with warmth, kindness and compassion. This establishment can lower the hubris. Otherwise, the business will not last long with this unnecessary act….do better!

One of those rare places. Incredible food, once staff, incredible pricing, unfortunately there are no more places like this joint anymore. Asset to the area! Thanks.

Flavorless sauce, no meat (in meat sauce), along with rude service was the highlight. I sent an email to the owners to allow them to remedy or address this and heard nothing back. Won't be going back since the owners aren't interested.

Il Pizzico has good food but unfortunately our party of 5 could not get a table. We tried calling a few times and the restaurant did not answer the phone. We tried to make reservations on line but there were technical issues. Finally we went to the restaurant at 5:30 pm hoping for a table. There were none. We were told they don’t answer the phone during serving hours and the online reservation issue was “a glitch”. There were plenty of seats at the bar and we asked to have dinner there. We were told that serving dinner at the bar would overwhelm the staff. As we we were going to the theater later we asked if there might be a restaurant nearby we could try. We were told “we’re not from around here” so we can’t help you.” I’ll say “we can’t help you” certainly was true.

We had a fantastic belated Valentine's Day dinner, all the dishes were lovely and we had a great experienced server that made the experience all the more pleasant. The mushroom ravioli with pistachio sauce was so unique and delicious and the short ribs and polenta were a perfect combination. Can't wait to come back again.

Just go! Great Italian food. Homemade pasta, wonderful proteins, fabulous cocktails, perfect service. You can't go wrong. Sit at the bar if you can't get a table and Brad will guide your way

Can't beat the quality of the food, ambiance and personal service. It's a great place to celebrate special occasions!

I'd give Il Pizzico 5 stars for their impressive ability to hire the rudest and most condescending dude in town, who clearly missed the memo on customer service and basic human decency. It's like a rollercoaster ride of emotions, starting with a five-star welcome followed by a plummet into the depths of belittlement over the phone. Seriously, it's like this guy is on a permanent PMS trip, venting his frustrations on unsuspecting callers. As for the food, it's just meh, but who needs gourmet cuisine when you can feast on the sour taste of disdain served up by Mr. Grumpypants? Overall, if you're in the mood for a super five-star terrible experience, look no further. It's like being at McDonald's, but with a side of extra sass and a dollop of attitude. Enjoy!

VERY popular local place. Sicilian chef, pastas made in house, a menu with no bad choices, and a very friendly and attentive bartender. ***Get a reservation .***

Food was good but over priced for portion sizes. Service was rushed and it was clear the waiter didn't want us lingering by literally standing behind the table until we departed so they could turn the table. Tables are also extremely close together and it makes it difficult to hear your own table let alone the waiter. Will not return.
