Not a lot of brothless ramen places around here. Definitely recommend! It was so tasty!

The service was very prompt, quick and friendly. Parking was a bit chaotic but there’s plenty behind the building. The server was helpful with the menu & helping us pack our food since we wanted to try various of items but couldn’t finish. Will definitely be back!

This is an outstanding place to satisfy my craving for authentic Japanese noodles, especially their signature Aburasoba! The service is quick and the ambiance is charming/inviting. It has definitely become one of my favorite go-to spots in Rockville!

Service was 10/10, big shout out to my boy Thai ✨ We received solid menu recommendations, and our food was expedited quickly. The price is par for the course for most good ramen places these days, aka a little more than I'd like to spend, but the food was good regardless. We'll be back!

Part of what seems to be an expansion of asian businesses along 355. I've been there twice now and I can confidently say the food is quite delicious and at reasonable pricing. The location is modestly sized, options for booths or table or bar. The portion size is great value for the price especially in the 2025 era. Wait time for the food was minimal as well, but each dish was still unique in its flavoring. Highly recommend you try the desserts as well! They don't skimp on that either. And they do the new-age tech in restaurant RIGHT. you still get a physical menu, but the bill is tabulated and paid near instantly on a tablet in front of you at the end, no lengthy wait time to leave. An excellent option for both families on the weekends or business partners out on a lunch, I will be sure to come back for more.

Eh. That's my summary of the place.
Got the chicken curry to go. Picked it up. The piece of chicken provided was....small. like, it was a bit thicker than the thickness of a pencil and about as long as a typical chicken breast.
The chicken tried its hardest to be dry and wasn't very satisfying. The noodles were okay. Nothing too fancy about them, they could have been fresh noodles but I couldn't tell because of my disappointment in the protein size provided.
Ramen places are just not it in 2025. Life is too expensive to pay 16 dollars plus tax for a 4 oz piece of chicken with a few noodles and 3 tbsp of curry sauce...

I don’t usually leave long reviews, but my recent experience at Kajiken with Andy as my server absolutely deserves it. From the moment I stepped into the restaurant, Andy’s professionalism, warmth, and attention to detail set the tone for what ended up being one of the best dining experiences I’ve had in a long time.
He greeted me right away with a genuine smile and made me feel instantly welcome. You could tell right off the bat that he’s passionate about what he does and really cares about making guests feel comfortable. Before I even sat down, he asked if it was my first time at Kajiken and took the time to walk me through the menu in detail. He didn’t just list off items—he described them in a way that made each dish sound mouthwatering, explaining the flavors, textures, and spice levels so I could make the best choice for my taste. He even gave me a couple of recommendations based on what I told him I liked, and he was spot on.
Once my order was in, Andy didn’t just disappear. He was attentive throughout the entire meal—checking in at just the right moments, making sure I had water refills, and asking if I needed any extra toppings or adjustments. I noticed he did this for all his tables, seamlessly juggling multiple guests while still making everyone feel like they had his full attention. That’s not easy to do, especially during a busy service, but Andy made it look effortless.
One thing that really stood out to me was his timing and awareness. He never interrupted at awkward moments, but he also never let a glass go empty or a question go unanswered. When my food came out, he double-checked the order to make sure everything was perfect. He asked how I liked the spice level and whether the noodles were to my preference—small details, but they make a big difference in showing how much he cares about the customer’s experience.
On top of all that, Andy has a naturally friendly and approachable personality. Our conversations didn’t feel like forced “customer service” chatter; they were genuine, lighthearted, and enjoyable. It’s clear he’s not just there to take orders—he’s there to create a memorable dining experience for every guest. He even remembered to ask how I liked my meal after I finished, which shows how engaged he is with his customers from start to finish.
When I left, I couldn’t help but notice how many other tables seemed to be just as happy with his service. It’s rare to see a server balance efficiency, friendliness, and professionalism so perfectly, but Andy does it with ease.
Overall, Andy truly went above and beyond. The food at Kajiken is already fantastic, but having someone like him taking care of you makes the entire experience that much better. If you’re coming here, I 100% recommend asking for Andy. He’s not just a great server—he’s the kind of person who turns a regular meal into something you’ll remember and want to come back for.
