I was surprised by how big this bakery is. Their style is very bright and modern. They also have so many options between cupcakes, ice cream, and cookies. I tried the salted caramel cupcake and it was amazing. The prices are not cheap but I think it is justified by the quality of the products, space, and service.

It was my first time going to this place in Rockville and the inside was very clean and spacious. I liked how they had a variety of cupcakes to choose from of different unique flavors! A few that I got were red velvet, strawberry crunch, snickerdoodle, and apple cinnamon. There was a deal going on which you could get six cupcakes for $17 which is pretty good considering one cupcake cost $3.80. These cupcakes are very delicious and moist and would recommend going again. If anyone is in the area, please stop by to try these delicious cakes!

Bakery is very clean and spacious with plenty of seating. Cupcake choices are vast, with basic flavors (vanilla, chocolate) to speciality (snickerdoodle and sinful caramel). They also have cookies, baklava, coffee cake, macarons and ice cream. For drinks milkshakes, lattes, cappuccino and refrigerated beverages. Everything is priced reasonably. We got 1 chocolate and 1 strawberries n cream cupcake. Icing was predictably sweet, but not too thick. Cake portion was fairly light, and not dry at all. Would come back again to try other cupcakes and confections.

I've been a fan of Lil Cakes for a while and was excited to see a location open in Rockville. Unfortunately, the quality has definitely gone down in the last year or more. I ordered from this location a few times and the cupcakes were hard, dry and the flavor barely there. The icing has more of a nod to the flavor than the actual cupcake. Their cupcakes used to be fresh, moist and exploding with flavor. Now I can taste an artificialness to them.
We were craving cupcakes. We typically go to a different cupcake place in DC, but it was going to take too long because it was rush hour so I googled this place and the pictures looked AMAZING! I arrived and they had LOTS of selections. I purchased caramel apple, snickerdoodle, pumpkin spice, and carrot cake. BLAND SO VERY BLAND. each cupcake was disappointing. I have zero plans on returning to this establishment.

To satisfy an extreme sugar craving, I ordered a slew of cupcakes from Lil Cakes and Creamery. For my order, I went the four cupcakes for $14.99 special. Our cupcakes included: Carrot Cake, Red Velvet, Smoreo, and Strawberry Crunch, and my favorite cupcakes were the Red Velvet and Carrot Cake. Overall, I thought the cupcakes were quite delicious, especially the butter frosting that were used for the Red Velvet and Carrot Cake. However, I will admit that I was not a huge fan of hte Smoreo cupcake. It was not bad, but maybe I wasn't in the mood for chocolate.

Friendly staff, lots of options.The prices are reasonable considering they are a small batch bakery and make everything daily.We stopped by on a Saturday afternoon, and were the only customers My daughter got a few ice cream samples and settled on red velvet cheesecake with sprinkles. We also got a red velvet cupcake for later.In past visits we got vanilla and chocolate cupcakes with a variety of different frostings. All of them were great and there was definitely more than enough icing for a good ratio. Not that the cake needed it. They were all moist and had a good crumb that didn’t fall apart as we ate them.They have a bright, open seating area to enjoy your treats and they have a party room for groups. But we chose to eat our ice cream in the car this time because the smell of the air freshener being used was so strong that it was stinging our noses. We’re hoping this isn’t normal and was only because they’re weren’t a lot of people and movement in the store to disperse the smell. Not a huge deal, but we decided to get only 1 cupcake for my daughter, instead of the 4 pack we talked about. Something about walking into a bakery and smelling the bathroom air freshener didn’t match up.We’ll give it a try again soon.Parking: Only a spaces in front.

Right next to one of my favorite ramen spots (MAKI), is a new bakery with a great variety of flavors and dessert option. They have fresh ice cream, cupcakes, and even a whole dog menu! I got a toasted s'mores cupcake and it was delicious!! The frosting and toppings were so good. We also sampled their ice cream (thanks to the very nice folks working who were more than happy to offer us samples). We also got plenty of recommendations, and can't wait to try out more. My dog LOVED the pupcakes!! They smell delicious and come topped with a little milkbone treat. The doggy ice cream was a little icy but I love that they have a dog menu. Will definitely stop in again to try more cupcake flavors and ice cream!
