Great facility and service. Line dancing on Wednesdays is such a treat! I’ve learned some new skills and had a lot of fun!

line dancing here with arielle is the best!! if you're a beginner, check out the teach from 7-8 or jump in for social dancing until 10

the BEST place to be on a Wednesday night!! Line dancing here is so much fun. Lessons from 7-8pm which are great for beginners, and then open dancing from 8-10pm. Arielle leads a great class with tons of energy. There is also pool, cheap drinks, and food!

My friend who is a member brought me to the Rockville Moose Lodge to hang out. I was very impressed with the friendliness of the bartender, Laurie, and the other members that were there. We stuck around for the bingo and had a wonderful time. Will definitely join the lodge.

Fantastic community that is very welcoming of line dancing beginners! Arielle is a great teacher, I couldn’t recommend this activity more. Good selection at the bar, too.

SO welcoming and great instruction for line dancing!! Amazing community and so fun I kept coming back and made it a weekly routine! The food here is actually pretty good (standard bar fare but the salmon and salsa top notch) and drinks are generous pours (and too cheap to be Maryland pricing). Highly recommended.

My partner and I've been going to the lodge's weekly Wednesday line dancing classes for a few months now, and we're hooked!

There's always a fun crowd (skewing mid-20's), the music's great, and Arielle is a superb teacher.

The first hour or so of the 7PM session starts with 3-4 dances she'll walk & talk everyone through, followed by social dancing (until 10PM) when the party REALLY starts as line dancing vets take over the dance floor.

Great place to meet people and enjoy a new hobby, plus the bar serves up a rock-solid menu of food & drinks.

I am from Germany and Line Dancing is not very common there. Going to the Moose Lodge is a really great experience. Everybody is really nice. The first hour you are getting introduced to three line dances. The instructor is awesome. She teaches very slowly and very patiently. I love it. And all of the dancers who know what they are doing are very friendly and try to help you through the steps when you try to join them afterwards. It is always a lot of fun and a good place to spend your Wednesday night!

I love going line dancing here. There are 3 lessons spread out through the first hour, but it a great place to learn by joining in on anything. All the regulars will help you pick up the dance as you go.

Every city needs a space like the Travilah Moose Lodge. It's my favorite part of the week.

Some other patrons seem to have the wrong impression but the flyer could be a little more clear. There are usually 3 line dances that are taught within the first hour. After that, the lights go down and we continue to line dance, some swing songs thrown in there. The first Wednesday in April 2025 did have an unprecidented amount of guests, that is atypical. Check it out for yourself.

I can’t say enough great things about the FREE line dancing at the Rockville Moose Lodge on Wednesday nights! I’ve been coming every week since day one. And to see how Wednesday nights have evolved from 15-20 people to a max of 150+ people is incredible! From the moment you walk in, you’re greeted with friendly faces and a relaxed, welcoming vibe from people of all ages. Whether you’re brand new to line dancing or have some experience under your belt, this is the perfect place to learn, practice, and have a great time.

Arielle, the instructor is fantastic—super patient, upbeat, and really good at breaking down the steps so everyone can follow along. She goes at a comfortable pace and is always happy to answer questions or go over moves again if needed. She instructs 3-4 dances in the first hour of the night and then the remaining 2 hours we hit the club lights and turn the Moose into the hottest place in Moco on a Wednesday Night! And with the people who go regularly, there’s always someone helping you catch on the dances through the rest of the night. There’s a great mix of classic favorites and newer line dances, and the playlist keeps the energy high all night.

There is a full bar and food menu that you can enjoy while dancing the night away. The bartender, Laurie, is the best there ever was! She remembers your name and order even being a first time customer! It really makes all the difference to have that personal relationship with the customers.

What I really appreciate is the sense of community. People come here not just to dance, but to connect, laugh, and unwind. There’s no pressure, no judgment—just good food/drinks , good music, good people, and lots of fun. Plus, it’s free, which is amazing for the quality of the experience.

If you’re looking for a fun, low-key way to get some exercise, meet new people, and learn something new, this is a hidden gem. I look forward to it every week!

The Moose!! The highlight of the past few months has been line dancing on Wednesday night! The dancers have been SO welcoming and encouraging, I feel like a regular myself now too :) The instructor is patient, knowledgable, and soo much fun. She commands the room but also keeps the atmosphere light and a great time. There is teaching for the first hour, then the night turns into a social dance, with tons of opportunities to learn on the floor. The bartender is a gem and the vibes are fantastic each time. I also look forward to the bingo and karaoke nights - the Moose is a Rockville hidden gem 😍

Ariel is awesome, I am not sure why anyone would complain, or think that the Moose lodge would have a problem with the crowd on Wednesday evenings for FREE line dancing! My daughter and I look forward to Wednesday nights and the crowd has always been respectful and polite, I love the diversity! Oh, and I am over 50 and a member of the Moose! Thank you Ariel for your hard work!!
