One of our fave Korean restaurants in Maryland. We only come with friends so that we can share the food, family style. The combo with bossam and gamjatang is our fave dish to order. The tonkatsu was surprisingly really good and the portion was huge! Bibimbap and cold noodles are great too.

Small no fuss restaurant tucked away in a strip in North Bethesda. Restaurant shares the lot with a garage and the few parking spots might all be taken when the restaurant’s busy. Small cosy space with traditional Korean wooden tables and wooden benches for seating with wooden partitions separating tables. The restaurant was very busy at 7pm on a Saturday but emptied shortly after we got there. We got the combo #1 (Soondubu jjigae and bulgogi), the dolsot bibimbap and the yukjaejang between the three of us. The food was all delicious, the free sides were fresh and tasty and the service was very attentive. The attendant came around several times to check on us. Overall nice place and we will come back.

Authentic Korean cuisine! The restaurant provides a great atmosphere for any type of mean like quick stop for lunch, get-together with your friends and family, or weekend eat-out. We ordered pajeon, sundubu-jjigae, and everyone’s favorite bulgogi.I will definitely come to this one to try other foods on the menu I didn’t get to try this time. Great place. Five star!

My favourite “ Bibimbap”This iconic dish consists of a bowl of steamed rice topped with an array of colourful vegetables, meat, or tofu, and a fried egg. The ingredients are beautifully arranged and garnished with gochujang, a spicy red pepper paste, which adds a kick of heat to the overall dish. Bibimbap is meant to be mixed before eating, bringing all the elements together into a harmonious blend of flavors and textures. The combination of the warm rice, flavourful toppings, and the irresistible sauce creates a mouthwatering feast for both the eyes and the taste buds. Here you get satisfied with your expectations . Staffs and ambience are very attractive and Korean themed . Korean food is a journey of taste and texture. Whether you are a fan of spicy food or are more inclined towards milder flavours, here something to offer for everyone.

I had the worst craving for japchae and a lot of the Korean restaurants in my area are hot pot dishes only (definitely not a bad thing, but I just wanted something else). I found Mahdang on Door Dash, but decided to order through the restaurant's website because I was going to pick it up anyway and I didn't want to pay $20 bucks in service fees. The website makes ordering easy and was able to schedule the time that I wanted later in the evening to go pick my food up. I ordered bulgogi japchae, galbitang soup, and La Galbi. The food was so good!! I'm happy I ordered enough to enjoy leftovers all weekend long. The portions were a really good size, I loved the marinade on the short ribs, and the soup was delicious on a cold night.I will be going back and recommending this place to anyone in the area. I got my food to go, but the restaurant itself was very brightly lit and looked like a great little place to relax and enjoy a good meal. I would consider trying their hot pots when I have the time to sit and enjoy it with friends.Parking: There is a small parking lot in front of the restaurant, but it has 2-3 spaces clearly marked for restaurant parking only. If the restaurant is really busy, it may be a little hard to find a space.

They refused to serve alcohol due to a vertical ID. It was the customer's 21st birthday, they acknowledged that the customer was 21 based on the date listed, but still refused service. Tried to state it was MD law. It's not, we triple checked. The customer is from out of state, the manager tried saying the customer should have spent their day in the DMV to update their license to drink on their 21st!!

Biggest issue up front: They refused to serve alcohol due to a vertical ID. The customer is from out of state, the manager tried saying the customer should have spent their day in the DMV to update their license to drink on their 21st!!Beyond that:- service was incredibly slow. There were maybe 3 other tables while there, but the staff only came by 1 time in 2 hrs to ask about refills on water/non alcoholic drinks- Food itself was maybe a 4 on a scale to 10 and very bland. We came to a Korean BBQ partly for the experience of cooking your own food. That wasn't even an option, not sure if the stoves even work.

Came in a group because of previous good experiences getting take out. We were expecting to get to cook our own food, that's part of the fun. But that wasn't even an option, everything came out already done, even though the table had hot plates/stoves in the center. The servers seemed inexperienced, because they took 15 min to come get drink orders, only checked on us once in 2 hours and the fact that it took 2 hours on a slow weekday night with bad weather. Also we were a larger party, but we're never asked if split checks were needed and the whole order was run together. The food itself was fine I guess, not a huge selection and wasn't anything I'd want to have again. But what really tanked the evening was the refusal to serve our friend on her 21st birthday with a valid ID. The staff and manager tried to say it's MD law that you can't serve to anyone with a vertical ID. It's not, but it is MD law that they don't HAVE to accept out of state IDs.It's their choice and I get it's their liquor license, but the manager even acknowledged that she was 21 today based on her ID which was good for another year. The manager tried to explain that they allowed someone with a horizontal ID and a 2023 birthday drink last week, but turned away a vertical 2022 birthday....which sounds like bad business to me.

Love this place. Been coming here since it was called Moa. Fried dumplings and seafood pancake are the best in Moco. Love getting the kalbi dolsot bibimbap and seafood tofu soup.

Overall, this place was decent. The only thing I would recommend is for the chef to watch the salt level. The entrees were all a bit salty during our last visit.
