This is the ONLY place I go for when I am craving a good ramen with soup ! You can never go wrong with their chicken katsu or spicy bulgogi steak with their Tori shoyu soup base!! Super delicious and flavorful ! Other ramen shops don’t have this type of flavor in their broth but Maki does ! Added bonus if you get their dango for dessert ! Super yummy and chewy 10/10 for me !

I loved this place and recommend it to anyone even if you’re trying sushi for the first time!! The service was outstanding and timely. My friend did enjoy the vegetarian options as well. The restaurant is very small and doesn’t take reservations so get there early because there’s wait times! My friends and I loved it and can’t wait to go back.

I usually stick to Jinya when I’m craving ramen, so I was a little hesitant to try something new—but I’m glad I did. The ramen at Maki was delicious and honestly exceeded my expectations. On top of that, it’s more affordable than Jinya, which is a nice bonus. We also ordered the shrimp tempura rolls, and those were very good as well. The ambiance really stood out too—great atmosphere that made the whole experience even better. Definitely a spot I’d come back to.

I’ve been to many ramen restaurants in America and in Japan, but this place nailed the Tonkatsu ramen! Finally a bowl that is made perfect, which is not too salty. I almost thought Japanese ramen was suppose to be salty.

This restaurant is a hidden gem in the Rockville area. I have been eating here since before the pandemic COVID era. There is only one guy working as a waiter there. Don't be fooled, he's the best sushi chef I know. He's sushi creation is out of this world. I believe he rotates working as a waiter and sushi chef. If you catch him on a night you happen to eat that night, try his sushi. I highly recommended. The service is top notch by the great service. This is a place to be on the weekends.
