The atmosphere was great! We went for brunch . We shared the biscuits which were so yummy. I ordered chicken and waffles which were also so yummy. The chicken tenders were crispy on the outside and tender inside. Well seasoned. The waffle was nice and crispy on outside . Would definitely order again

When you seat two guests, hand over two of each menu. We received two brunch menus and only one more extensive menu. Both of us ordered off the larger, regular menu at noon on a Saturday. The grilled chicken on the Caesar salad was as dry as the croutons. That was partially because the cut was only a little thicker than a slice of lunchmeat and also because it was overcooked all but on one or two bites from the middle of that piece of chicken. There should not be any brown on the salad greens (there was on a handful of pieces). One usually sees a little Parmesan cheese on the salad--none. The croutons could crack your teeth. I ate one. The waiter was very nice. He just needs to look over the food and represent customers to the kitchen if the attention required is missing. This was a rare, mixed experience. In general, Matchbox offers a much better experience. I will return and hope that was unusual and not the new norm.

We sat at a booth in the bar area during Happy Hour. It was lively and the Happy Hour menu was great. Our food and drinks were very good and our server was wonderful! I highly recommend this restaurant.

It's been awhile since I've been to matchbox but I feel the pizza has changed. It used to be one of the best pizzas in the dc area but not now..

We had a great meal at Matchbox. Split a pizza table bread that was delicious, then I had chicken over pasta and pesto sauce that was very tasty and my wife had salmon citrus salad she liked as well. Service was excellent.

I ordered the Crispy Chicken Sandwich, and it was amazing! The chicken was perfectly cooked — super crispy on the outside and juicy inside. The seasoning and toppings were spot on, and the bun was fresh and soft. You can tell they really care about the quality of their food. Rose was friendly and quick too. I’ll definitely be coming back!
