Nice and generally quiet. Had sweet and savory options and drinks.
As the biggest pastry lover, trust me when I say this is one of the best bakeries around!

I can see why people want to keep this little spot a secret. Tucked away on a side street this unassuming coffee shop is a real gem.
I got a caramel latte and one of the creme donuts and the coffee impressed me at the first sip. Really smooth, not bitter and perfect sweetness. The donut was a perfect accompaniment. Service was attentive and quick.
I'll definitely be back.

Mirabeau Bakery & Cafe is one of those rare places that actually lives up to expectations. I stopped in by accident one Saturday morning, and it turned out to be a great find. The space feels like a small Parisian bakery dropped into the neighborhood. The coffee is excellent, the pastries are done right, the croissants, pain au chocolat, and other French classics are not overly sweet or flashy, just well made.
There’s a calm, unhurried atmosphere that makes it easy to enjoy a coffee and pastry before the day gets busy. A simple, reliable spot when you want something authentic, without the usual gimmicks.

Hesitant to review here because it feels like a well kept secret ☺️ Quiet and excellent coffee shop on the “other side” of the Twinbrook metro area with incredible pastries (quality of the croissant dough is the best in Rockville hands down). We regularly get the ham and cheese twist and the lunch sandwiches are great too. Coffee is excellent as well - great iced lattes in particular! The staff is incredibly sweet and efficient and there is seating inside. You can park for free at the Garage and certain hours at the metro lot.

The owner is a Pâtissière (pastry chef) who graduated from the Culinary Institute of America (CIA), one of the top culinary schools in the US. We’ve been friends since middle school. She’s incredibly smart and talented in many ways, especially artistically.
When she first opened her Bakery Café in Redondo Beach, California, seven years ago, it was so popular in the area, and I often visited to try her pastries. However, about five years ago, she sold that place, moved to Maryland, and opened Mirabeau here in Rockville. It’s been a long time since I‘ve had her pastries, and I’m so happy to have tasted such delicious pastries again. I’m truly touched. 🥹
Rockville, Maryland, is a special place because of Mirabeau. Not just because we’re friends, but I highly recommend Mirabeau‘s pastries! 👍
Come try their diverse and delicious pastries here at Mirabeau!

Absolutely delicious place! I had the turkey on ciabatta sandwich and the Parmesan cheesecake with figs. Both outstanding! Never had a savory cheesecake before and I will definitely be back for more! They were also so friendly and made my sandwich super fast

Service was fast and they were so polite. Ordered the strawberry matcha and checkered cookie. Didn’t want a baked good that was too sweet. They helped me choose the perfect one.

A wonderful little French bakery by an Asian American pastry chef who studied in France. Their pastries are excellent, probably the best in Rockville and surrounding areas. They’re on the expensive end in my opinion, but the quality is worth it. I believe their coffee offering is limited to espresso based drinks but the espresso is good. For a pour-over coffee, you can go to Downtown Brews which is next door.

I got a tropical iced tea and lemon meringue cake. It was not that special for me. The place is charming but so small and not many seats.

So glad I tried this spot out. The ham & cheese croissant was good, not my favorite thing but still a very good croissant. The crème brûlée donut is truly the STAR of the show. I usually don’t love donuts as I find them to be too sweet but this was perfect! A must try.

Mirabeau has quickly become one of my favorite cafes in the area! Their yuzu earl grey is delightful and they have a wide variety of pastries!
I almost want to gate keep but I’m here to review the jambon beurre..the bread so fresh and crusty. I’ve been looking for the perfect one and this is it. Before this, I’d buy this sandwich from Balducci’s. Mirabeau’s jambon beurre brings me back to Paris. I noticed they use mustard in their version and honestly, its presence wasn’t so much that it bothered me at all as I couldn’t taste much of it. I also had a strawberry matcha latte which I enjoyed as well. I’ll definitely try some of their other offerings next time but I can’t stop thinking about that sandwich!
I would also like to note that the atmosphere was nice, the staff was friendly, and service was fast. I enjoyed sitting by the window as I had my delicious meal.
