Mirabeau Bakery & Cafe is one of those rare places that actually lives up to expectations. I stopped in by accident one Saturday morning, and it turned out to be a great find. The space feels like a small Parisian bakery dropped into the neighborhood. The coffee is excellent, the pastries are done right, the croissants, pain au chocolat, and other French classics are not overly sweet or flashy, just well made.

Hesitant to review here because it feels like a well kept secret ☺️ Quiet and excellent coffee shop on the “other side” of the Twinbrook metro area with incredible pastries (quality of the croissant dough is the best in Rockville hands down). We regularly get the ham and cheese twist and the lunch sandwiches are great too. Coffee is excellent as well - great iced lattes in particular! I got a caramel latte and one of the creme donuts and the coffee impressed me at the first sip. Really smooth, not bitter and perfect sweetness. The donut was a perfect accompaniment. Service was attentive and quick.
I'll definitely be back.
