This is my favorite sushi place in DMV area. The owner is professional: the size of nigiri sushi with balanced rice and raw fish ratio, and provide pre-order plater wit the perfect condition without making them in advance so that they do not stored in fridge which is great.
Below is $100 plater with Sashimi, Nigiri, and rolls.

The chef handled the communication very unprofessionally. Unpleasant to talk to.

My volcano roll wasn't rolled properly. The fish tasted old. All for an expensive price? I wont be coming here again. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE. DONT EAT HERE.

I ordered $130 platter and when i went to pick up at the scheduled time, it was not ready. The sushi man didnt even apologize and didnt tell me when it would be ready. I waited over 20mins. He put like one soy sauce and wasabi for big order so i had to ask for more and i requested chopsticks but he didnt give.
Portion seemed small for $130 compared to other places.

You need to be local or constant goer to have good service here. If your phon number is from another state, they wont care.

Hidden gem!! Inside of Lotte International Market is this high quality sushi takeout. Delicious dragon crunch roll and amazing deals on all the chef special nigiri and roll combos. The fish is so fresh and tuna is a beautiful dark red. Cannot wait to go back!

Very nice staff!! I ordered about 14 items for our office luncheon- when I picked up everything was perfectly done. They said 30 minutes and it was exactly that. They were also kind enough to give us free miso soup! I will definitely be ordering from them again!

Even though the sushi restaurant is located in a grocery store, I can confirm that they make all their sushi fresh in the morning. If you are unsure, go early in the morning when lotte first opens and you will see them making the sushi. Also, they make fresh sushi made to order if you want that option as well (it is available over the phone or business website and possible depending on how busy the store is throughout the day). All you have to do is ask for sushi made to order (good if you have allergies or want specific things in your sushi). Some restaurants "may" be cheaper but the quality isn't the same and the cheaper places tend to use old rice and fish that isn't great quality especially if they are a sit down restaurant because they would have to cut costs somewhere to be profitable to keep the sit down restaurant going.

Pretty decent, it’s not bad at all but it’s also not great. Obviously since it’s sitting in a grocery store it’s cold sushi. The pricing is also moderate-ish. It’s kinda mediocre all the way around. I wouldn’t repeatedly go there with all the other sushi options around.

Very nice sushi with great price, friendly staff and skilled chef! Nice variety and ample amount of sushi for a party platter we ordered! Will come back!

Neko Sushi has some great prices on what would cost far more at most other locations around the DMV, but it does become a bit of a six of one, half-dozen of another situation. I ordered two sashimi platters and I will say that two cuts of their fish is about equal to one cut you would find elsewhere. If you know what you're getting into, it's a superior experience to all grocery sushi I've ever had, but that is where you need to set your expectations.I imagine this is because they have limited space due to the fact they pre-stage platters, or it could just be the preference of the business or chef. Either way, I won't dock a star for that, but I am tempted to. I can't speak to how the sushi was crafted since I only bough sashimi, but I did enjoy the assortment that they had. I will deduct a point because the ginger and wasabi (had a 'squirted from a tube' consistency you get with grocery store sushi) were of very low quality, and I think they could stand to use better alternativesNeko is located in an international store, which was a big part of the draw for me. I got to explore some really uncommon products (live fish in tanks, cow hearts, kidneys, and livers, various foreign snack food, etc.) that certainly had me wanting to come back. Overall, I'd say Neko is far better than grocery stores where you can get sushi since they actually sell sashimi and large platters, but if you have decades of experience eating sushi, you may not mind paying more at a different location.

They are true gem to Rockville! Owners are very friendly (married couple), the husband is a chef and is very quiet and his wife does cashier and other non-sushi related food prep. Their poke-rice is so amazing, full of freshly chopped sashimi! The portion is so big that you can get one to share with another adult. Their sushi/sashimi platters are very affordable and beautiful, delicious arrangement of fresh quality fish! Highly recommend during COVID era where you don’t feel comfortable dining out anyways.

Small sushi place in Lotte Plaza Rockville, but you can expect a LOT more from this hidden gem! Their quality of fish is so good and their sushi and sashimi are simply excellent. Their pre-packaged sushi rolls fresh, and Sashimi Rice Bowl are very generous in portion plus tasty miso soup. I have ordered their special platters for my parties, and they were very good quality edible arts. Try to stop by if you are a true sushi lover.

They have a good selection of sushi, the sushi chef is friendly and the sushi is reasonably priced.
