server was impatient and visibly annoyed as we tried to decide what to get. she actually just walked away, without even excusing herself or saying something to be polite about it. Whole time she brought items to the table she was curt. The food was mostly just okay, but the salmon and the tuna were room temperature and somewhat mushy. I have been to Japan multiple times, and what they served here was NOWHERE near authentic quality. Then, they automatically add a 20% gratuity...
One of the rare Japanese place operated by real Japanese (no china!). Obviously the fish comes to the East coast US frozen by the law so they don't taste the same as Japan but the hot meal from the kitchen was good for American Japanese food. Sushi: ok. Better than Chinese sushi. Hot food: good! Take out was fast and good. Price good too.
This is my favorite sushi/Japanese restaurant in Rockville. Great menu with options for everyone. Amazing service, top tier food, and good prices. This is my #1 spot for sushi in the area.
