I’ll keep it short. Gf and I came to this location to do some grocery shopping and as we’re checking out, she notifies me that the bread I grabbed had already expired. I swapped it out but after we got back to our place we discovered the following from our trip:
- Lettuce that was extremely dirty after being removed from the package
- Expired avacado dip
- Ribs that had an absolutely awful smell after being thawed out from a previous trip. Had to throw them away
In short, it’s clear this location is cool with selling expired products. Makes no sense to me considering there are several other grocery options in the area. Seems counterintuitive
I was minding my entire business while ringing up my one single $.99 bagel at self checkout when a Ms. “Judy” approaches me asking if I need help. She also asked me if I could see my picture on the screen. What do you even mean by this? Not to mention, she was approximately 1 inch away from me when asking this question. Mind you, they are promoting RSV awareness at this particular location so she clearly didn’t take note of that. I paid for my bagel and left. Annoyed, I came back in and asked a different store associate what the lady’s name was (meaning Judy). This was maybe 2 minutes after the incident and Judy was nowhere to be found. This is not appropriate nor okay to bother paying customers, especially one purchasing a single $.99 bagel. I really wish some people would get a hobby outside of badgering people who have done nothing to them.
It says that this store is open but when I walked up to door it wasn’t opening on both entrances. The least can be done is to update your hours.
Good grocery store but generally seem the prices are bit higher than the near by stores. Produce are not generally fresh comparable to near by stores.
As a former loss prevention associate in retail, I know the signs and signals given in the store when they believe a theft is or is about to happen. Every time I am in this store, I am “profiled” and followed by their loss prevention associate. Even when I am in slacks and a sport coat or shorts and T-shirt. It is so obvious to the point that other guests alerted me and shook their heads at how ridiculously obvious it was. I shop and PAY for my items every time. This is mentioned in other reviews. They absolutely profile guests. If you are bold enough to do it, man or woman up and admit it. I will not be shopping here and have encouraged my friends and family to stay away as well. Please do not respond to this post denying it because you absolutely do. I will not be back. I hope corporate takes action to properly train their associates. Clearly based on other reviews, this location is a repeat offender. We all can’t be lying about the disappointing behavior of management and their associates following certain shoppers around the store.
I went in to the bakery to see if they had any Just Dessert cupcakes which they did. Judy was helpful with my questions. Self check out was easy to do. Judy was honest, professional, compassionate, personal and cared about the customers, which I am proud to say I was one of them.
Poor customer service. The employees do not speak. Do not acknowledge customers. I was standing near the seafood market for almost 30 minutes. Nobody helped me or even spoke. The food looks old anyways. I lift my cart sitting there. Horrible!
Store was not crowded which was pleasant. Bought a Boston Cream Pie from the bakery that was fantastic.
Great variety of food, they even had cooked meals
For one of the most affluent areas in the country, this is a very mediocre Safeway. The people who work here are outstanding, but you can tell the corporate organization will not invest in this location.

Nice staff, great variety of foods, humourous managers
Honestly the worst customer service department. Everyone else was nice and friendly but whoever was on shift today at 1:30pm lacked off. Someone called them twice with a long line and nobody showed up.
The guy in front at the time and Elizabeth in cashiers did their best to help me out. Thank you
I work very close by to this Safeway so my colleagues and I frequent this store quite often. I am so appalled that we get stopped and get accused of stealing birthday cakes, balloons, sodas, cards, and food. WE HAVE RECEIPTS and we have our work clothes on which means that we can pay for anything we purchase. My colleague just has the worst experience here today accused of stealing a cake that she paid for but just need the bakery to write a message on the cake. No apology no nothing so as of right now we will never come into this store again. We are truly disappointed you need to train the people in your store better
Lots of fresh cut up fruit for a reasonable prize.
I recently purchased catfish from Safeway, and I am absolutely horrified by the quality. The fish was *rotten*—slimy, with a strong, foul odor that hit me as soon as I opened the package. It was clearly way past its prime, and I can't believe it was even on the shelf, let alone sold to customers.
the smell lingered in my kitchen for hours, even after throwing it away.
Zero stars if I could.
