I had the absolute worst experience. Waitress very clearly forgot to put our order in and it was well past the 35 minute mark since we had ordered. Other tables who were seated AFTER us got there BEFORE us.
The waitress finally came to us a used the “busy” excuse and said our food will be out in 2 minutes. 5 minutes pass and a manager came out and told us that order was messed up and will be out in another 5 minutes.
I just got up and left. Close to 50 minutes spent sitting with a hungry toddler and no food. No communication from Silver Diner. Just sat there and watched everyone around us eat.
We ordered 1 kids meal, 1 appetizer, and 1 lumberjack breakfast. Wasn’t even multiple long winded meals that could have caused this.

Sadly, this was NOT what we were looking for when we decided to go out for breakfast on our recent trip to the area. We really would have done much better if we had gone to the OPH (Original Pancake House) location just down the road.
Kid 2 wanted a milkshake and I didn't look at the menu before consenting. It was a pretty darn good shake and I thought it was the high point of the meal until the bill arrived. Seven bucks for a shake? Yep - got snookered on that one.
The kid wanted biscuits & gravy but didn't see it listed on the menu. I knew that was what she was going to order and had called ahead to make sure it was available. Yep, as a special order but not on the menu. When it arrived it didn't look like any B&G I have ever seen before. It was almost as though they thought the gravy was a glaze and had dipped the top of each biscuit. Not at all what she wanted or what we expected when we ordered. Consequently I asked for a side of gravy when I managed to catch our server's attention. She made a few other stops but eventually returned with a small bowl of steaming hot gravy for my daughter to add to her now cold biscuits.
I had their little bit of everything Lumberjack Special. It was nothing special. The hot cakes were doughy and heavy, the scrambled eggs a bit bland and not at all fluffy, the bacon a bit too thin yet still fatty and the sausage casing a bit more substantial than I could get through with just a fork. My English Muffin on the side showed up several minutes after my food.
Service sucked! Slow, indifferent and we felt ignored at every turn. I had to ask no less than 3 other servers to let our server know we needed something.

I went to Silver Diner and ordered a steak that cost $32, but it tasted old and not fresh at all. I couldn’t eat it because it was honestly bad. They took $15 off. I only ate the mashed potatoes and asparagus. Very disappointing experience.

The lamb chops were delicious and the service was spectacular... an excellent place with a very familiar atmosphere.
PLEASE CHANGE PITA AND APRICOT SUPPLIER BACK! Was 4-5 star now it's 3-4 because they changed the supplier for their apricots and pita for there hummus.

Jennifer was very kind to us and explained every detail of the new dishes. The food was excellent and fresh. The acai bowl is big enough for two people, and the crab soup was delicious. The manager, Miguel, was super friendly; he came to greet us and chat with us, making us feel very welcome. We will definitely come back to Silver Diner.

My family and I enjoy coming here. For dining in, the service is usually decent, nothing special. Great food! But if you order online, be aware that your order will probably have something wrong. Almost every time we order for pickup, we are either missing an item, or something is wrong with with an order (incorrect sides, or something of the like).
