tomato flyer catered a recent company event and they were great ! ingredients were fresh and the pizza was great. they even had gluten free options.

08.10.24 wedding. Oh how disappointing :( we were really excited for this truck and it absolutely let us down. Food was great but Tiger ended up leaving and his employees obviously didn’t care for the event, no signs were put on the food so nobody had any idea what the pizzas were. When asking the “manager” he just named ingredients he could see on top then ended up saying he wasn’t even sure. Not to mention they didn’t put out the pizza when they were done but until they cleared the charcuterie table so all the pizzas but maybe 1 or 2 were cold. Gelato was the wrong flavors, they gave us coconut which me and my husband both hate but also had a couple ppl allergic to it so thank god they didn’t accidentally eat some, with the lack of labels and everything. Also they just sit the gelato out in little cups on the table so by the time guest grabbed them, they were mostly melted. The “bartender” was like 18 and at first was asking my guest to make their own cocktails but after enough ppl complained that he should be making them, he did end up making some drinks with 50% tequila & 50% cocktail mix. So nobody ended up drinking those he made. He still continued to ask guest to serve their own beer from the tap, which again was the point of hiring them since it’s illegal to serve alcohol without a license. They also ran out of waters and sodas at like 8:30 (they were there till 9:30) and then they started telling my guest there was water fountains around and all they had was cups so the guest could fill them themselves. Finally we’d asked for the coffee/expresso package and tiger said he’d throwing it in since we’re were spending so much but never was the coffee brought or offered. Again very disappointing that the “crappy” taco truck was a better hit than the “fancier, way more expensive” pizza truck. At least I found a new great taco catering place…

I hired Tiger the Tomato Flyer himself to drive his brilliantly restored International Harvester red truck to cater an extended family reunion in our backyard. Such a success that I doubt anyone else in the family will outdo us in the future, and will likely push to do it all over again in 5 years. Even Great Uncle Horace from North Carolina praised the fresh, hot pizza in absence of his perpetual hog bbq! This is just a fantastic experience for any event, and dive into Tiger's Gemma Gelato for an amazizzzzin' cap off to the feast. Followed by many more beers and wines from his truck also. This approach pleases ALL, ya'll ... adults, children, family characters of all types, and even Great Uncle Horace !

We attended a tasting party this past weekend. The Italian wines and craft beers complimented the delicious food. The truck is beautiful and made for a fun evening. We liked it so much we have hired them to cater our rehearsal dinner next year!

First of all - what a cool looking truck!!! Fantastic restored truck comes to you!My daughters college graduation in late may was the cause for celebration. We hired TIGER (Yes - Tiger..) and his competent crew to cater an event for 100 on a late Friday afternoon.Tiger arrived early to set up - and was ready well before start time. We opted for Beer and WIne with the pizzas - and it was cold and appreciated on a warm day. The alcohol add on was a surprisingly affordable add-on to our catering.We also opted for for the charcuterie which was my absolute favorite. My daughter preferred the incredible home made gelato (The same stuff the supply to the high end grocers and farmers markets in the tri-state area!)We were having such a good time - we were allowed to extend our service with them by the hour after the initially contracted. It was a home run.Tiger and staff went out of their way to make her special day unforgettable. Don't hesitate to give him a call and let him customize your special event. While initially my daughter and wife had reservations about a pizza truck - I am now the smartest guy in the room - with a very happy family!

The Tomato Flyer made for an absolutely amazing caterer for our wedding. People raved about the food, which is probably the most important thing, but a few notes on that:
-The truck is super cool and very classy and sort of transcends the whole "food truck wedding" look (e.g. they set up cool, lightweight wooden serving tables to create a fairly sizable spread for all of the foods, though they definitely could have made do with less space if we'd wanted that)
-The owner, Tiger, was really awesome about letting us customize all sorts of things: we wanted people to have champagne in hand during the ceremony, and he happily obliged
-Paper/plastic cutlery was included, but Tiger was cool with letting us provide palm leaf plates and cloth napkins to class it up a bit
-We had some specific ideas in mind for wine pairings, and Tiger managed to find them all!
-It wasn't really just pizza: the charcuterie sampler(s) and genuinely very good salads really made it feel like a cool and classy meal (and again, the pizza is *really* good)
-Tiger was responsive, communicative, and happily met with us a few times in advance.
We'd gladly recommend to anyone!

We had Tomato Flyer cater our wedding on November 2nd & we are so glad we did!! The staff worked so hard all night to provide us with the YUMMIEST PIZZA (+ gluten free options!), wonderful salad, & absolutely delicious gelato!!!! We had soo many guests comment about how delicious the food was!! Tiger came to our event and was so nice & a pleasure to work with! My husband even requested a specialty pizza that wasn't on their menu & they went out & got the ingredients to make it!! Highly Recommend this place!! Every aspect of our experience was great!!

Read all the Yelp reviews! They notified us late the night before our rehearsal dinner that they wouldn’t be able to make it due to a medical emergency. We were, of course, concerned and were fortunate to line up another great option the morning of the event. After months of unresponsiveness, we were finally able to get our deposit back through OUR credit card. We then discovered that this is something they do all the time, that they have an F from the BBB, and that the owner’s previous restaurant was shut down for failure to pay rent.
